Daddy, I'm home. What times Mom making supper?

He's actually a really good kid who was in over his head. I blame Matt, if I were a 23 year old kid and got offered almost 300K to do a job, about any job, damn right I would have said yes.

I think Rhule announced Satt is being retained?

I figured that was gesture to help him (Satt) save some face. Basically, we’ll continue to employ you in a vaguely defined capacity until you/we find someone dumb enough to hire you.

Yep and actually really good at Xs and Os . He just wasn’t ready to be a AC especially at a P4 school.

At least he's not calling plays, and I assume DH is gonna have some expectations leveled on him.

Holgerson has an elite resume with multiple top 10 offenses. He’s now at the biggest job of his career. A floundering blue blood that is sick and mother fvcking tired of losing. Yeah, it’s safe to say there will be some fvcking expectations 🙂

Nice of Rhule to hire a kid with no experience and let him fail and learn at NU.

Rhule’s made several missteps in his 1st 2 seasons, but hiring someone who was so predictably under qualified will never make sense to me. Can’t blame Garrett in the end, he’d be fool to turn down such an offer and I’m sure he worked his *** to make it happen. But you can’t tell a fish not to swim and can’t make a 23 year old a leader of men. Bugs the **** out of me that Rhule believed it would work…

Agree 100%. I think Garrett was in completely over his head and should not have been hired as a full-time position coach. And I also think he has a bright future and will probably be a very successful college football coach someday.

When I was in college my Dad gave me twenty bucks when I'd see him every month or two. So I can relate.

But, I wonder when he's a 45 year old head coach somewhere, will he actually hire a 23 year old position coach?

Might know xs and os but couldn't/wouldn't get receivers to block. Not why they waste time watching film. Maybe they fell asleep in those comfy chairs

X's and O's don't ducking matter if you can't get your guys to do what they're supposed to do. Receivers don't block? The fans see it. Holgorsen saw it right away and made it an emphasis. Good riddance to Neyor btw half-assing everything if he wasn't the primary target.

There are a lot of guys that “know X’s and O’s”.

Not many of those guys actually know how defenses are truly taught as far as rules/technique, etc.

Not many of the group that made it through that last qualifier can actually coach an Indy period at a high level.

Even less people from the last group can also hold dudes accountable and set a standard of work/performance while coaching within the whites as well as in the film/board room.

This is entirely on Rhule - hired a baby faced youngster who was unqualified to be a WR coach at D1 program- cost us games, period
