The players love playing for him. Let's not be a nickel and dime program. We can afford to pay more than FSU who will be stuck in the ACC and trying to afford a massive buyout of not only the head coach but their entire affiliation with the ACC.

If he isn't crazy about living in Lincoln and doesn't like the weather in the Midwest what will throwing money at him accomplish?

Not sure if it's too late already or not. But I would have been hinting at prepping a Co-DC title change for him a long time ago. Think we should do likewise for Dvoracek. Don't want to send the message that we're looking out for your career interests only after you've already got a foot out the door.

If the stories about Cooper are true, he should have been upset with Cooper, not Rhule.

What exactly did Cooper do? Everyone is referencing it but I've never heard anybody say anything direct about what he did. I mean he's not on the staff anymore so what are we talking around it for (not you just ppl in general)

Don't know. Was it anything worse than what Frost was doing?

Good question...if I knew I guess I'd have an opinion 😆. Idk why we do that. I guess I get it when the guy is still employed. But once he's gone what's the big deal about being so secretive. Unless people who are carrying on like they know really don't know ****...

Ok here it is. He had a sexual affair with the sports psychologist gal Dr Haskell . He was hitting on female athletes and he screwed an intern.

Sounds like he behaved a lot like most of us tried to at his age but was more successful...

You can't fish in the company pond. There are rules that go along with employment at NU apparently. I hadn't heard the intern part but that's a huge no no.
A large amount of. People meet each other at work. As long as there are no stings attached or coercion this is ridiculous.

Who doesn't need a little trim after a hard day at the office?
I'm still amazed by University employees hitting on students. Back in my day profs would tell attractive young women what it was going to take for them to get an A. Happened to my wife. Happened to a classmate of mine in my doctoral program. I'm sure it still goes on. We've had multiple assistant coaches over the past 15 years be relieved of their duties due to sexual impropriety. Some of it criminal in nature. Why risk your career over that?

If that’s all it was that’s a pretty lame reason to fire him. He’s a good coach. It probably helped him accel mentally at his life and job. It’s just unnatural to tell two unrelated, attracted people they can’t get it on. He would not have been a superior to any of them really. Who cares

I believe its because they wanted to fire her and not him. She has a Doctorate, so presumably she's not just some bimbo and has heard of EEOC and things like that. I could be wrong.

That’s even more dumb. They’re almost acting like “omgggg if this ever got out??!” When in reality maybe 4 of the most unimportant people in the world would care for 5 minutes tops.

And don't forget about all the female teachers that are mentioned on here.

Do I personally care? No. But if Cooper knew the rules and refused to follow them then see ya. Sounds like he made a choice. Job or banging co-workers.

Doing the intern may have been what did him in.

Title IX is taken pretty seriously these days. No way it's not taking a legal risk to keep him on. Dumb I know, but it is what it is. Wonder if it wouldn't be possible to form a shell llc to hire football coaches rather than direct through the university? Could lessen such a risk as they wouldn't technically be university employees.

I’m hearing Knighton was at practice today and White was not. Would be huge to keep Knighton at least.

Knighton is gone, but FSU doesn't have a coaching spot for him until they decide how White can bring him in. He is acting like a child with his social media posts. I would just as soon Rhule ask him to step away than have all the DL players, who know he is leaving, enter the portal, as he pretends he is going to be here next year.

So consensual sex between adults
You don’t get it. In a big company and Nebraska or Iowa football etc .. is a big company. You mess with an intern even consensual is considered sexual harassment and you will be fired 100 percent of the time.

Butler, Prince, Williams, Jackson already in the portal, not to mention Gbayor and Thompson.
Not to mention all the seniors who are gone after the bowl game.
