Receivers?
Special Teams?

We’re about to find out if Rhule is serious about winning and will do the necessary thing . If not, he’s just a hollowed out smock.

In order
1) special teams
2) receivers
3) Satterfield

It’s not personal. There is an expectation of performance when it comes to big boy football. We don’t have the luxury of hiding bad coaches on the staff. We are in an age of high visibility and data. It’s easy to spot weakness

Scrap the whole ******* thing. Get a coach who will make us back into a farm team for OL and RBs. Get back to our roots. Get our identity back.

This guy isn’t going to do a ******* thing but get a massive deposit in his bank.

Special teams, receiver satt, possibly the running back, I know people are upset pissed off but Rhule isn’t going anywhere. Geez look at Wisconsin and eventually Iowa will play a tough schedule and they will suck and eventually their luck win run out just like ours will turn around, we need to hit the portal for receivers and top notch ones a freaking deep snapper maybe a d lineman but Jmo I believe the defense will be more athletic next year need to find a corner back so Malcom can either play on special Teams or move on he might be a scrapper but he’s no Barron miles

Special teams, receivers, Glen Thomas, running backs. I'm actually okay if Satt stays to coach TEs at a reduced salary. Glen Thomas can pack his bags, Dylan was getting worse as the season went along and Thomas did nothing to help. There were several cutback lanes the running backs missed yesterday that could have went for big yardage. Not a fan of a running backs coach who can't teach that. ST and receivers coach are self explanatory, those units just straight up sucked.

Obviously numerous coaches and their results need to be scrutinized.

If OCDH can come in and make numerous aspects of our play better after only 1 month here his input needs to be listened to, whether he comes back next year or not.

I was going to say DH may not even be the answer after yesterday, but I forgot that he’s really still running Satts piece of **** offense for the most part .
DH hopefully stays and picks his staff.

Defense wasnt too bad, can’t say that I’d be upset if they all stayed in place.

But for sure you shitcan Foley and Baby McGuire at a very minimum…

He is running the playbook of Rhule, Satt, Raiola(coach), and everyone else who has plays they want run. The first thing DH did was to cut the playbook by about 80% and rotate fewer players. He made WR's play one position only so they could master that position. There were way too many cooks cooking dinner...

DH is totally the answer. I’d love to see what he can do in a full season not just 4 weeks.

Give DH full control of the offensive side plain and simple. That is our most direct route to being a competitive team.

The beauty of the Hal Mumme coaching tree (Mike Leach, Dana H.) is the focus on precise execution . That element has been lacking in our offense for decades.

I don't care that Rhule eventually brought in Dana. He hired Satt knowing he was bad. He kept him far too long despite bad performance. He prioritized his friendship over the program. His ST coach should have been removed week 3, he prioritized his friend over the program. Those two things should result in firings for cause, future contracts need to be written as such.

What world class special teams coach does he find 3 weeks into the season?

Busch lives 8 minutes from the stadium and would gladly have stepped in.

And really, it almost doesn't matter. Showing you're not going to tolerate bad performance sends a message to everyone. This isn't a game anymore, everyone is making millions and they all wanted it this way. With that much money comes real high expectations. Go to D3 if you don't want that.

Bill Busch would have done better, I have no doubt about that.
Better? Yes.

But does he create a new long snapper, kicker, punter mid season?

Maybe he gets Rhule to play better guys in the coverage and return units. Beyond that what can he do mid season?

Coach can only do so much. Lackluster talent with decent coaching is essentially lipstick on a pig

I'll bet he would have found someone who could reliably snap on FGs.

Definitely special team. We lost to Iowa mainly of terrible special team. Iowa’s average start at the 35 year line, we started at the 20. Satterfield would have to look for a job elsewhere. And we need receivers who are dependable in catching passes.

The Air Raid offense works perfectly well at Texas Tech and Houston where the weather is warm year round. It’s not so practical in the cold climate areas like in the B1G conference except for the newest members from the west coast. So the offense must be a good balance of passing and running.

Probably easier to list the ones that should stay, OP

My vote is for Dana alone on the offensive side of the ball - the rest are deadweight losers

Same with special teams - anyone who’s had any part of it can hit the road

Defense should remain intact

Be nice to hire an actual head coach, too, but alas

Came here to say this exact thing.

Offensive coaches that aren't dead weight and should be retained:

1) DH

2) ??

3) ??

Rhule will have a lot to think about in the off season. Definitely Foley first. Satt can be a full time coach at TE with a reduced salary. Get the Special Team coach from Iowa.

Honest question doesn't KF handle ST for Iowa? I could be wrong
