Did they jam field turf into another bond? I know that was the one thing that finally got voters to vote against a Millard bond issue probably 5 or 6 years ago. Only time one has failed.

Could be worse. I live in Beatrice where the football team wins about 1 game a year and they just voted to spend $500,000 to replace the field turf. Meanwhile the baseball team that kicks *** every year doesn't have its own field and plays on SCC's field at their discretion.

It’s the original Millard school dude.
I know that very well! I had a few friends that went there when I was in HS. The reason it got it's nickname was because of all the drugs that went through there, students in trouble with the law, fights non stop. Plus most of the students there didn't come from well off families, there were students that did though. Millard North has always been a well off school and now Millard West and the newest Keith Lutz Horizon High School. There are 4 now in Millard.

I went to Millard, I was Indian and it wasn’t unusual for students to walk across to the park to get stoned when I was in high school..

Typical MN or MW grad response. The amount of drugs in MW and MN and Prep etc is and has been just as bad ... but Millard South is 'hood' because of the lower income families that go there? Just say it out loud.... cuttings at MW... fights at both MN and MW not uncommon. I would rather send my kids to a school with diversity in income and demographics than see and hear them make the comments that come from MW and MN students at sporting events.

Learn how to read, the last part was just an add. What I said before that was why they got that nickname. I didn't go to either school when I was in HS and there were only 2 Millard schools back then, I had friends that went there. Back in the 80s there were actually more probelms in that school than OPS. Thus the nickname hood school.

Yeah I saw your initial post which stopped at "Millard South has always been known as the hood school!" I can read very well... backpedaling and adding to your crap initial post to deflect the original is telling. Tell me why has it always been known as a 'hood' school? Do you not understand the derogatory meaning behind using the term 'hood'? MN and MW have had drug issues as well as every HS in the metro. MW just had someone cut outside before school. So fights aren't uncommon anywhere. I know the demographics between the 3 main schools sure show differently... maybe that is why it is and 'has always been' known as a hood school? Like I said... just say it out loud.

Back when I was in HS there were only 2 Millard High Schools, Millard West wasn't even a thought yungin'. Back then the drugs that went through there were pot of course, acid, Cocaine, Heroin, ecstasy, Mesqueline etc. There were also a few students from there involved in the Franklin Scandal and I knew one of them.

I don't care if there was only Millard HS when you were in HS... the insulting nature of your post toward those who attend and send their kids there is what I take issue with 'yungin'... It is this kind of speak that paints a broader picture of you than those who have and are attending MS. You think you are edgy and funny but you show your real colors. 'Hood'.... look up how the term 'hood' is used to paint negative pictures of a section of society... then realize you paint some very good people in that light to show your internet bravado. Good for you 'old fart'

Westside when I was in HS back in the 80s was always known as Hollywood High! I've never seen more students in any one school back then that had sooo many different colors in their hair! LOL

Anyone seen Booth play in person? Will he play or is this a future spring game talking point?

I watched the championship game (Go Knights), only time I’ve seen him play. As mentioned below he played injured. Despite the injury he seemed to play well early in the game. He seems like a tough dude and well coached- who knows how that translates into future playing time.
I personally feel better about the recruitment of Connor Booth than Malachi Coleman. Just sayin.

Did you just say that Horizon was a "well off school"?

I like Benning. Got to know him as we worked out at the same gym...he was always super cool to me and intro'd me to several other ex Huskers who worked out there. He might suck as a head coach but I think he's a pretty cool cat and I appreciated all the stories from our programs heyday(s). He was also one of the best handicappers of NFL games I ever met. He knew how to pick winners at the NFL level.

No I said there are now 4 Millard schools in the Millard area with Lutz being the newest. The well off Millard Schools are North and West. I never said Lutz was, it's just the newest.

You understand it’s an alternative school?
I don't think he knows that!

Also, This weird idea that the "rich" schools don't have issues with partying is comical.

I have taught in rich schools, poor schools, private schools.

The rich/private schools party...hard. They have access to so much more along with parents that either "let them party at home" to be the cool parent OR that take vacations and leave their junior/senior kid(s) home alone for the weekend. With a lot of access to booze/beers and prescription meds.

The guys from Prep and Millard West in my frat partied the hardest and most.
