Was YOUR effort good enough this week?

Hell no. I think that answer is pretty evident for most of the people on this board regularly. I think spending hours a day checking posts and "bringing it 24/7" are mutually exclusive things.

Everything I was doing so far this week was giving me great results. Much like Satt I decided to switch it up and start doing random things this morning instead of sticking to what was working and now my day is ruined.

I like to just blame other people for my problems, been doing it for years, I expect change with each new interval in my life, I have the resources and support to succeed but I just don't make the correct adjustments to get myself over the hump.

What age did you hang it up? I'm 50 and gotta be honest I fantasize about retirement daily. The organization I work for has had tons of people work to 70 and beyond - no way in hell I'm doing that.

Can I be 20 years old with no wife and kids other than just my work and home.

I used to go dig ditches etc etc in the hot *** sun on tracks draped on both sides with trees so no wind mind you and the steel and rock reflecting that heat BACK up for the BNSF in my 20s for 10 hours a day then go home and tend my garden fix up my house and drink until 2 am and get up a 6am and do it all over again all week.

Absolutely, I've been moving around well, giving it my all and running through brick walls! Take yesterday for example. After reading the paper over my coffee and surfing the net for a couple of hours, I opened the fridge and remembered that I needed to replenish my beer supply. While out picking up a 12 pack a DQ caught my eye and I picked up a peanut buster parfait. Back home I helped out around the house by reorganizing the fridge enough so that the 12 pack would fit and finished off the peanut buster. Feeling guilty about the calorie bomb I decided to go for a 3 mile walk, but when I went outside I thought that I detected a slight chance of lightening so I had to postpone the walk. I decided to put the extra time to good use so I started drinking beer to clear out some room in the fridge for groceries when the wife got back from the store. That night I let myself fall asleep on the couch while watching TV so I would be well rested to start the grind all over in the morning. Pretty proud of myself!

Hell yes...we got back in our home after a 5 month hiatus and I took this week off and i'm putting my dream garage back together, and killing it I might add.

....yesterday I stole a sign out of the ground at the school I voted at, to keep as a souviner, and its getting proudly displayed front and center on the front wall so anyone who walks or drives by my home will see it, forever. Might even put a spotlight on it.

This. I'm 34 and luckily work for a company with a pension on top of 401k. My manager is 47 and retiring at 50.

A while back I sold my company on a ridiculous guaranteed salary with the promise of a great return. Right now, 1.5 years later, I’m having outside consultants show me what to do.

My Lincoln kept breaking down and I had to get a new vehicle. Was quoted $3.5k to replace the water pump, over $4k to do while you're you're in there things. Did it myself (dad was a mechanic and made me help him sometimes). Halfway through after a stripped bolt that required drilling a hole in the fender to remove I decided that I was done with the vehicle. Got it fixed eventually but it took working a few hours every night for about a week, like 25 hours total. Effort was there but execution really could have been better, my mechanic skills are right up there with Satt's ability to run a good offense.

Yes. I get incentivized when I do better.
So maybe the way is a moderate base salary for coaches and then pay for each win. Football and basketball both. Hoiberg had seasons with 7 wins for 2 years. That’s around $425,000 per win those years. I don’t even want to look at cost per win for Scott frost.

Rhule was $1.6 million per win last year?

Eh. Definitely been taking plays off lately. One of "those" days at work today didn't help matters any. The older I get the more I became an apathetic misanthrope, lol

How much is he making per win this year?
I’m not good at math but if his pay is higher this year than it’s more than 1.6 million per win. There are some schools worse than that such as Wisconsin Florida Florida State, as of today. Will be interesting to see at end of season.

Did you bring it 24/7 and not start slow or take plays off, etc?
Are you talking real life or their message board persona?

If we're talking message board life, we're all busting our ***- criss crossing the country flying first class, sealing business deals. The rest of us are putting in long hours managing large farming operations- keeping those three S7 combines running (paid cash for all three). Nobody is spending hours on the internet & sitting on their ***.
