Satterfield is why this team lost today. He is a ******* crutch that we cannot overcome.

we should have scored at least 2 more times.. I can't believe the OC playcalling at times was just plain dumb.

That 4th and goal is exactly why he isn’t the guy. Everyone knew what he should’ve done….but everyone also knew exactly what he would do. Give his team almost no chance to score points.

What does this guy do all week? Just cringey how bad he is, the kids deserve better
Seriously, ever 4th and short this year has been an iso over the RG/RT—every single time. OSU literally sent 11 men to that hole at the goal line. Any other play call and we literally walk in. That cost us the game right there. It’s on SATT.

All plays from here on out need to go UP field, not behind the line tosses that get trashed. And a pass on first and goal would have been worth the effort.

Random thought...do the other coaches hate him too? Guy is putting a lot of heat and scrutiny on the entire staff, I think about my job and how I dislike poor performers

Any Satt fanboys left ?

Some of us thought this the moment he was named OC. After watching him at USC and then hearing HCMR talk about what he wants to be in offense I immediately thought it was a mismatch. Even though he had worked with him at other spots. What I seen at USC and what Rhule wants doesn't mesh.

Again I'm not a fan and I'll be severely disappointed if he's back here next year. I havent been a proponent of in season firings unless it's something drastic. I think this is approaching that.

Those last two drives he called may have been some of the worst stuff I've seen. We were in this game in spite of him. If he's here next year it will be doing Dylan and the entire offense and program a disservice provided it continues to look like this.

Take this in… Today Satterfag called one of his best games against a B1G opponent, and we only scored 17 pts and lost the game. Today was his best, a 4 pt loss. Last week was his worst (I guess), 49 pt loss.

I wonder because of the rare talent Raiola is if that in any way will help usher Satt out as an OC.
I believe there would be a good argument for it IF it were the case. Not saying a player should politic for a coaches job, but if the writing is on the wall a decision would have to be made.

Satt had Spencer Rattler (yes an obnoxious guy) but an NFL talent and squandered him. Why let him mess with a once in a lifetime QB? And wouldn’t a competent innovative OC chomp at the bit to come to Lincoln, work with Dylan and raise his profile?

Good point about Rattler.

I don't see a reason to retain Satt if there's a risk of losing Raiola.

Thomas is Co-OC. Can we at least pull play calling duties as a start?

Did you watch Rattler the other day? He's just that guy. He's the same in the NFL as he was for Satt. He's not a good QB.

Watching the Chasing 3 series he looks like the one coach that doesn’t fit into the culture of physicality and mindset that Rhule claims is his blueprint. I don’t see how he’s a fit culturally or scheme wise. We only use the fullback as a redzone gimmick and try to run out of shotgun with maddening inconsistency. Running the football is like defense, you have to practice it well to do it well
I’m not convinced that Satt can ever deliver that, he needs to be moved on for a better fit

Our starting fullback was out with an injury today and I don't think we have anybody else right now that they have much faith in at fullback.

You think the can't run the ball out of jest. I say he has no idea how to run the ball.

Satterfield told Raiola to throw an interception. Why would he do that? What's he thinking?

At the time, when he was in college he was able to play and at times play well.

Dom might want to start asking some questions about the offense his son is shackled to

By biggest WTF moment was the series when we were stuffed on the goal line. Seemed like we'd been running it to the left with ease the previous series. Announcers even mentioned that we'd found a weakness and were exploiting it for big chunk plays. First and goal and what does Satt do? Abandons it and goes 3 plays right and a dive over the top. I'm sure I'm over-simplifying and generalizing but it was baffling to me in the moment.
