Not sure why you are posting this, but Gerald Ford was a pretty good football player.

He was born in Omaha. Won 2 Natty’s while playing center and linebacker at U of Michigan.

Volunteered for the Navy at age 30 during WWII.

Presidency legacy….meh.

I'm not sure what he could have done better when he became President. The media portrayed him as a clumsy buffoon and he was FAR from that in actuality. I had the good fortune to get to meet him when he was the keynote speaker at the University of South Dakota. He was in his 80s and still extremely sharp. He was a very good man and would have been a much better President than Jimmy Carter.

Probably could have had a long career in the NFL, but there wasn't any real money in it back in those days.

A friend of mine walked out of the Cowboys training camp back in the late 60s. He said he could make more money driving truck back then. Another friend of mine who has 3 World Series rings with the A’s back then and played 12+ years in MLB said the most he made was 13K. That was good money back then but he made more than that when he retired and ran a moving company.

I agree except he helped cover up evidence when he was on the Warren commission that looked into jfks assassination
