If Neyor holds onto the f*cking ball and Dylan hits a wide open TE, we score 38 points and have over 400 yards of offense. I can’t blame Sat for last night.

Tony White on the other hand got abused by the IL offense. Not sure where we were worse, rush defense or pass defense. We were awful in both and I didn’t see any meaningful adjustments from White all night. Very disappointing

You saw how poorly they ran the ball last night. Yet you think a power scheme is called for? They had no power.

We averaged 4ypc last night

Have to stick with it if you want to wear teams down in the 2nd half

We threw 41 passes to 26 runs despite basically never trailing

Are you more disappointed in Sat or White last night?
Satt

His pass happy gameplan hung White & our struggling defense out to dry

Selfish, me-first play calling when we had a chance to shorten the game

The antithesis of everything Rhule always talks about wanting to be

They were gassed in the 4th quarter. No way they pick up the first down by running

Take away the passing plays and we would have got shut out.

Complimentary football works
You absolutely do not believe this. Last year it was all about the defense not being able to make stops even though the offense continuously turned the ball over and put them in horrible positions with all QBs. Now this year is complimentary football works? You absolutely blasted the defense last year. What changed other than a new starting QB?

None of those Ifs are Satterfields fault. The plays were there, the players didn’t make them.

Are you seriously more upset with Sat after last night than White? Our defense was utter dogshit.
I was at the game and it honestly looked like it was 12 on 8 all night….their receivers were wide wide open and their lineman literally built a wall around their QB.

Interesting that Rhule had the exact opposite take in his post-game press conference. He praised the offense and blamed the defense for not getting enough stops to give the offense more opportunities.

Especially in the 2nd half. They flat out executed us in the second half offensively..
We blew on defense last night..

Very disappointing..

Becuae that's what happened.

At the same time, the offense **** the bed in crunch time.

You are goofy. You talk **** how the Big 10 sucks so bad and how we should beat them easily. I will repeat myself. If we don't build a team to compete with the Big 10, that you hate so much, we will continue to lose. You must be able to run the ball when needed and play sound defense. We will continue this never ending cycle till we fix that. It is a phucking shame that we can't beat tams like Illini, Iowa, Wisc, heck NW, but the facts speak for themselves. You can ***** every week about how they suck as they chalk up another win. It's a tired shtick man. We are a average team at best and that's all their is to it, embrace the suck.

The old B1G West teams sucked, and with our history and resources we should have beaten them. He’s not wrong about that.

Your memory is shot.

Never once blasted the D

I said complimentary football works all year last year, too.

Dumb time to call the most obvious trick play in the world, but otherwise I can’t blame Satt for last night. Dylan has missed wide open streak plays about 3 or 4 times this season and showed his freshman inexperience when it mattered most. It was bound to cost us at some point and it did this game. No doubt Dylan will be great, but this will need to be a learning experience for him. Shame the defense couldn’t show up to counter that inexperience.

I don’t love the pass/run ratio, but i do think the short and boundary passes are basically runs from a practical standpoint. The defense really concerns me. From a basic view, I thought we looked gassed in crunch time. Illinois was physically dominant on both sides of the ball when it mattered. We need to run gassers every damn day.

we've been pass happy in 6 B1G games

we've lost all of them

only 1 constant - the play caller
The constant I see is opposing D’s all have the same plan, just that not all have the personnel to run them, mainly good corners. Stop our run game at all costs and take a chance one on one with our WR’s. How many times last night and most nights did you see over (safety)/under(corner) coverage? They are able to handle us pretty much one on one which frees up a safety or LB for the run or blitz game. It isn’t rocket science and Sat and Dylan are taking advantage of what they see the D is giving them. Of course they switch it up some but this is their obvious goal.

Who would bank on a freshman QB consistently finding the open guy, hitting him and him catching it before you can get to him or something bad happens?

It is a disservice to DR for our offensive staff to put the entire gameplan and team on his shoulders

Satt is going to get him killed out there

They didn’t stop our run game

We abandoned it

Averaging 4ypc like we did last night is enough to win most weeks when you commit to it

And it takes a tremendous amount of pressure off our star QB

It’s just not who Satt is

Rhule talks a lot

I judge him on the product he puts out there

Right now he’s operating a finesse, pass-first team regardless of what he says
