Rutgers and Illinois could be interesting. USC could be dicey. I see a L to OSU but Wisky and Io_a don't scare me.

Just looking at our current defensive rankings, look for jumps in every game except OSU and possibly USC.

For Nebraska's sake I really like where their Byes fall in the schedule.

Illinois should be easy to run on, wasn't Kansas averaging nearly 7 ypc?

Rutgers is actually a scary team, and USC is shaping up to be an automatic loss. Riley had Rhule's number in the Big 12.

I will be pretty disappointed if we lose to Wisconsin or Iowa.

Rhule only lost by more than 8 to Oklahoma 1 of the 3 years. Including losing by 8 when Baylor won 1 game.

Not saying Nebraska will win but still...

I am not saying we are bad or anything at all. Quite good actually but the stats are against 2 bad teams. Remember that.

I see that 11 AM game at Purdue, coming off three straight night games in Lincoln, as a classic trap game.

A win over Bieliema's Illinois squad would be a solid entry to the conference season.

I'm glad we have the Badgers at home.

ESPN matchup predictor currently has NU a fairly decisive favorite in all games except OSU, USC, and Indiana(!!). The Hoosiers are a 70% fave. Iowa is 50.2 - 49.8, so basically a toss up.

difference is Lincoln Riley looks like he figured out he needed to get a defense together. they were swiss cheese at Oklahoma.

I'd take Tony White over the Phil Snow Baylor defense. Guess we will see, Riley's teams usually get beat up as the year wears on. Who knows.

I don’t know about trap games, more so matchup problems. We don’t have any glaring weakness on either side of the ball that teams like Purdue can exploit. USC and Ohio State will match or exceeded our skill and athleticism. In games like that, you hope to limit mistakes and still execute your game plan

OSU and USC, completely agree. Indy at 70% is nuts and Iowa State's Little Brother at 50.2 is a steal.

I will take the pessimistic side until we make a bowl game. Every game is losable. The offense scored 21 points, 7 off of a tipped pass that should have been an INT. So we basically scored the same amount of points this year as last against Colorado. Most of the penalties were accurate and weren't an act of nature, just bad football. The offense SHOULD get better every week, but if there is a coach that can take a 5 star qb and make him into a mess it is SATT, as evidenced by all of our qbs getting worse the longer they played last year. Something obviously off with how SATT teaches, or prepares the offense...the team just slowly unwinds into a mess repeatedly. Everybody knew the moment he was hired that Rhule would either fired him or go down with him. Defense is good but we don't have a kicking game, special teams are pretty bad...so it would much more sense we win 6 games, lose a ton of close games, get blown out twice. Now if the offense grows as it should, alvano becomes reliable, Dylan stays healthy, and we find a reliable deep threat on offense we could win 8-10...the back to back road games are a killer, almost always end up in two Ls, and the November schedule sucks..win 6 and beat Iowa is victory.

Could be but I would expect the team to be focused for the first road game. Going to be hard for Purdue to control our front 4. A dominant front 4 usually sets the tone. So many hungry players too. We really do have a great mix of experience and youth.

One game at a time.

Like this because I don't consider to be that string but we get credit for solid wins if we just win the games we are favored in. Im thinking 10-2 and in the playoffs is a real possibility if we don't lose to Wisc, Iowa, or any of the next 5.

OU SCORING defense was 22.2
USC SCORING defense was 34.9
USC played a real schedule, meanwhile OU was losing to Kansas’ backup QB and letting TCU put nearly 50 on them.

So many of yall wanna cuck yourself for OU, you should know their fans talk about us the same way we talk about Iowa.

It’s funny when they look like ****, and definitely funny that losing Lincoln Riley has proved to be a net negative for them.

Do you actually believe any of this?

Most of the penalties on Saturday were accurate?
Every QB got worse last year?

I'm still thinking 7 to 8 wins for this team.
Colorado and Utep are 2 of the worst 3 teams we will play.

The second half of CU revealed some disfunction in our Offensive cohesion as a whole.

Our Receivers need to run better routes. Our O-line, backs, TEs and our OC need to figure out how to deal with blitzes/pressure.

Our D will keep us in games. Can our offense and special teams capitalize and convert it into wins? Remains to be seen.
