QBs on roster according to espn.com

Aaron Rodgers, 40
Tyron Taylor, 34
Jordan Travis, 24
Andrew Peasley, 24
Ben Bryant, R

If he wants to make the practice squad, he will need to make an impression with limited reps

Rodgers may not play in preseason-- haven't heard. Taylor doesn't need a ton of reps. Hopefully, signed Martinez means that a couple other names on that list have been disappointing so far. I think the goal here is to be placed on the practice squad and somehow at least stay there all season.

Gets to learn from one of the best to ever play. Aaron motherfvcking Rodgers!! Congrats.

The Hard Knocks cameras aren't there this year. I wouldn't count on Aaron Rodgers bothering to ever speak to Adrian, let alone help him with anything.

He should have learned in College instead of chasing his g/f's coat tails. SMH

Scott Frost didn't do AM any favors. When they started talking about giving QBs tests I knew it was doomed.

Hope he gets his chance to prove that he is a quality QB and wish him the best.

Bryant was waived when the Jets signed AM

AM probably better than Peasley,

Jordan Travis is certainly the Jets plan in the future but word is he won’t be ready to play football for a long time time

Disagree with @Dean Pope on TyGod. He might be a veteran but he will gladly take all the reps given being it being a new team, new scheme, etc and likely wants all the time he can have with the #1s when Rodgers slow plays mini-camp. Doesn’t mean AM won’t get plenty of reps, AM will. He will get a ton of work.

I think AM is the favorite to make the practice squad here until Jordan Travis comes back. But if I am AM and light up camp and put it on film, I’m probably leaving NYJ at a better long term chance. There’s a lot more opportunity in the league

If he looks he might have a pulse at the NFL level, he won’t be without options.

Thanks for that. I don't follow the Jets although I do remember Jordan Travis being talked about during the NFL draft process this year. I'm rooting for Martinez. He still has Nebraska ties. Tyrod got a huge deal (for a backup) with the Jets and he'll be very helpful with all of the other QBs. If Martinez has a fine camp, I think he's a shoe in to make the practice squad. And there will be other teams in need of a QB as the year plays out.

Are we sure he's actually playing this year or will he be fully dedicated to going down youtube rabbit holes on his phone?

Yeah, he was highly respected for many years. But I think Rodgers has always had strange stuff going on. There was a season of The Bachelor (my wife watches it and I catch stuff here and there) where Aaron Rodgers' brother was the bachelor. And on that show he said that Aaron had broken off all communication with the family for several years. Over apparently nothing if you listen to the family side of the story.

I remember that too, and at the time I figured his FAMILY were the weirdos haha. I must have been way off.

RollingLaughDon’t the Commanders suck? I like how he says he is putting on a show and it’s a replay of the same pass from five different angles. Let’s pump the brakes a little bit, he was 6-10 for 104 yds. and no touchdowns, against a team that was 4-13 a year ago.

I think their defense was not their biggest problem last year but preseason games don’t mean much. It does show that he can operate an offense against other young professional players. Good for him. I hope he hangs around and gets paid by somebody.

It's game one of preseason in the 4th quarter. A few 2nd & mostly 3rd teamers playing. The won-loss record from last year has no relevance.

Exactly, he went 6-10 for 104 yds and no TD’s against 2nd and mostly 3rd teamers in a preseason game. As dinglefritz said, it’s a preseason game, it doesn’t mean much. So let’s wait until he actually makes the roster to sing his praises.

At this point, the Jets are looking for a 3rd QB to put on the practice squad. There’s an opening because the guy they had slotted for that role is injured. Adrian had one big play and didn’t turn it over. That should keep him in the running for another week.

Edit: It seems that Jets fans were pleased with what they saw from Adrain. I think it helps with perception that he was the USFL MVP.
