Purdue is obviously way too low. Boiler will be here shortly to tell us all about their great coach and their star players who chose to stay instead of taking the NIL elsewhere.
Preseason polls usually is based what had happened the year before and who you have returning…

To me wash and mich are in similar spots but media is giving mich a lot more respect

Both teams lost a lot, that's for sure. Michigan probably recruited better so it might not sting as much.

Yea, well I would like to claim 1902 and 1983 for Nebraska too..They claim a fake one at 8-1-1 back in the 50s or something stupid.
we’d have like 50 if we did it the iowa way. Winning 80% of our games has been done many times
We're also playing 3 of the bottom 4 and 1 of the top 4. The schedule is favorable.
Finishing 8th would be good based on the schedule the team plays in conference. Would like to see the team finish higher but until the season is done, 8th is a good starting point.
We'll see how they do without the Harbs and JJ. Big question marks going into the season.
Huskers play 4 teams abve us, the #1, 5, 6, 7. And 5 teams, the #9, 13, 15, 17, 18 below us.
Don't forget the opposing QB's now have communication in their helmet, that might slow down MU's defense just a touch as well.

Indiana may surprise a few higher. The Minn kids might quit on Fleck. If we beat Wisconsin/iowa we could be in the 4/5 range, 12/13 if we lose.

Mostly agree, but our track record is what it is. If raiola and a couple more pieces get injured it's another mediocre year.
Na. Not worth the fight because of how unknown the team is. I think they will be a lot better than last year. They won’t be last. Not sure how high they will get this year though. I think I’m going 5-7. Schedule is tough.
Iowa has a championship caliber defense. I think that is why they are rated so high.
We need USC to lose a couple games before we play them. Teams loaded with elite recruits tend to lose focus when a championship is unlikely.
