Will the Super Bowl eventually become a pay-per-view event?

at this point in my life, I wouldn't pay unless it was a group buy and I was at someone's house.

How much would you be willing to pay if that was the case?
I suppose theoretically it could if the financials penciled out. It would be tough to pencil that out though.

Maybe $20 with just me and the younger kids. If the older kids were coming over maybe $30 or $40. $30 or $40 to watch by myself if the Packers were playing.

Well remember the NFL gets big bucks from the network because the network can charge outrageous ad fees due to the massive viewership. Not sure how the math would work out for a pay per view with much smaller audience.

Not crazy to think it could happen...but if it did I'd be out unless it was my team.
I hope that doesn't come to fruiition, however, I haven't watched a minute of any Super Bowl in 7-8 years so I care less.
But I'd hate to see loyal NFL fans get nailed for something that should be free.

Advertisers spend a lot to get a superbowl spot, I'm sure they wouldn't want it to be ppv because it limits the audience

I'd say no thanks. Somebody will put something on if they try that. As long as advertising $coming in I don't see it. Don't think advertisers would go for that.
Sounds risky for both parties

Says the free boarder 🤣🤣. You get to enjoy quality content by @Jaemekon and @HBK4life for zero cost .. those two work tirelessly so throw them some coin if ya got it
Always knew you hugged jaemekon nut sack tightly with all his nonsense open board material..Good for you two.
Commend him for being a Vet..

HBK4life has every right with his content because it’s Sports content.
Don’t see yourself paying on the insiders board..

Interesting question!
First, they need to get it off Sunday and put it on a Saturday. Everyone knows that.

Secondly, I think back to the Tyson PPV's and those were EVENTS, got them every time and it was a blast!.

Thirdly, I would not get buy the Super Bowl...I also don't think they would PPV it, I think most of the viewers are not "football" fans. I honestly could not tell you must about the last 10 super bowls.

Yeah they were great. They had to stack the undercard because the main event sometimes lasted 10 seconds. The ring entrances were longer.

Haha!

Right???

And like...even if the fight lasted just a minute, it didn't matter. It was awesome.

Jaemekon brings absolutely nothing here!
HBK on the other hand is awesome.

Snivel jae is blocked, and I hardly ever see anything he posts, but it is obvious from comments, what I am missng is not Husker, or sports related, likely just mad ramblings from a weirdo.

As far as pay for a Superbowl, not likely on my part.

The Super Bowl is usually the worst game as well as the most production-bloated sporting event. I wouldn’t pay $5 to watch unless my team is playing in which case I’d get a group together to split the cost.

I hope not, because it did not go over very well when they put a playoff game on “Peacock” and that was only $5 to watch.
Football is an American Sport, it’s always been free to the public during the year. I think that’s what makes it one of the greatest games ever.

I disagree.
Kong is not even on ignore. Jokename is only poster on my ignore list other than 27 dozen redmichille, and bevosbutthole usernames.

The guy may have brilliant on the Open Scrolls, I do not know, never went there. This is not Open Scrolls, and we all know he pushes the limits, by his own admission.

He may bring entertainment to some, but what he does not is Husker Football.

Anyway, that is my most wholeheartedly thought opinion.
