My wife is right....

Does silver go dangerous end up in the dishwasher basket?

I put everything down so we don’t have hands touching the parts people eat with. My in-laws do the opposite. We are all still alive so I’m guessing it makes no difference.

The issue with spoons down is that they can easily spoon, thereby causing concern as to the cleanliness of the spooning spoons

Forks, too and their tines can get stuck in the basket. I wash by hand, but let the dishes dry in the dishwasher.

Baskets? You guys still rocking cassette tapes too? It's called a cutlery tray, welcome to the future.

This is the only correct answer. No more blood needs to be shed. A multidecade household war can come to an end with a simple trip to the appliance store.

At first I read it as my wife is tight. And I was thinking "hey good for you man".

As to the silverware. **** if I know. Only thing I do know is you are all ******** with ****** knives. YOU WASH QUALITY KNIVES BY HAND. Dishwasher knocks them around and dulls the edge. Heathens.

I agree with Op. I hang out with his wife a lot and she’s a smart gal…

Everything goes down. Just makes common sense. I also put my glasses on top rack, plates on the bottom. any other brain busters?

This thread makes me chuckle because I load the DW completely different than my wife. It's chaos if she partially loads it and then I go to put more in later, I'm like "WTF is this bull$h_t???" Bowls in the middle, cups on the side! Plates on the bottom facing right, not left!

The correct answer is: Whichever way my wife puts them in there, then puts them away. Of course, that's after she makes me a sandwich and grabs my beer for me. I probably need to tell her, "Preferably though, they all go down just like you need to do later."

I can get away with saying that, simply because she doesn't have an account on here. 🤣🤣🤣
