Bad news is he is most likely going to end up at Ohio State.
This is probably the correct answer

Good God - that Michigan NC really lit a fire under OSU. Every top OSU, NFL high draft pick is returning except Marvin Harrison and DT Hall - and now I'm seeing 5-star, 2024 Alabama commit - QB Sayin - as being CBd to OSU by Loy and Wilfong's CB is supposedly coming. Keep in mind that 2024 5-star QB Air Noland is already signed and maybe the best of the bunch - 5-star St Clair - is committed for 2025. One or two of these kids will be transferring down the road - obviously.

Needless to say, with that roster, the pressure will be on Ryan Day to win BIGTIME or he could be out the door after next year. The OSU NIL amount has to be going through the roof - they just can't accept being 2nd fiddle in the B1G to anyone - especially Michigan

If tOSU already has a 5 star QB signed, why would another 5-star QB want to go there?

Your guess is as good as anyone's. I agree, this one is crazy and doesn't make any sense but they're going all out to win it all in 2024. But the 247 CBs are rolling in

Getting a 2nd freshman 5-star QB in 2024 isn't going to win you the title. One or the other will leave by the end of spring if that happens.

Agree 100% but look at all of those 2024 high draft picks returning for OSU that could have entered the NFL draft and the Portal kids they acquired. Just saying that OSU will have their most talented roster in a long, long time and Day better win - at the very least - the B1G and beat Michigan or he'll be out the door. The pressure is on

And there are folks that really think Bama will continue on the same trajectory as the last 20 years. They hired a really good coach, but Saban was so much more than that to Alabama.

As bad as those players looked against Missouri, I'm not so sure. They are still unsettled at QB and their best offensive weapon is gone.

Underrated post. Alabama struggled for many years to replace their first legendary coach in Bear Bryant. It's a real possibility that they will take a step back replacing Saban as well. Alabama still has a ton going for it, but they got a lot of kids based on the perception that Saban would get them into the NFL as a 1st round draft pick. Saban is gone now.

They are going to look like post Stallings 92...Probably within 2 years.

You know, Alabama was not ALL Nick Saban.

Wrong.

You just gotta love the South... 🙄

That was a joke. He didn't really say that.

Uh, Saban is a Yankee.

Wrong again.

True, who would want two 5-star QBs competing for PT in their QB room?

So, do they try to fix their QB problem by bringing in talent or not? Make up your mind.

West Virginia literally left Virginia to be on the Union side.

Literally nobody views southerners and northerners that way anymore.

I would not rule it out. I heard comments on a college football podcast that pointed out the many times when successful coaches came into a new situation and changed what they were doing, caved to admin or fan pressure, etc and ultimately did not succeed. I’m no Alabama fan. I wouldn’t mind seeing that happen.

He was born and raised in West Virginia and coached in the north before he went to LSU. West Virginia was a border state, not part of the confederacy. Does it ever embarrass you when you call someone wrong who's obviously right to everyone else?

Also, I got news for you. I live in Georgia, and the notion of someone being a Yankee is alive and well. Another thing you know nothing about.

Finally, bringing in 2 five star QBs in the same year will not get you more competition (it's not 1975). It will bring on dissension and one will leave before either can take a snap, denying reps to a player who actually might play. Why do you keep doing this?

I’m from West Virginia. No one there considers themself a yankee
When I was a kid we lived in Colorado for a number of years. We drove to Orlando to go to Disney when I was 12.

We stopped somewhere in Georgia to get gas. The pump wasn't turning on. My Dad asked me to go inside to ask the clerk to turn on the pump.

I'll never forget it. Probably a 350 lb woman behind the counter sitting on a stool. Greasy grey hair pulled back in a pony tail. Looked like she had just got done eating a lemon. Asked her to turn on the pump.

"I seen you pull in and it's stayin off. You ******* Yankees can get your gas somewhere else. Git out of here now!"

Okey dokey. I never knew I was a Yankee, but I got out of there. Now.

Went out and told my Dad. He went back in. Came out about 15 seconds later and he was red and lathered up. Don't know what was said exactly, but we did, in fact, get our gas somewhere else.

So, just to be clear:

A) You think the majority of people in the South view someone from West Virginia the same way they view someone from South Dakota? (Not to mention, one who won a NC at LSU and one who never won a NC and the closest he's ever come to coaching in the South is Indiana).

B) You think having two 5 star QBs on your roster is worse than having just one?

That's the context of this conversation and I just want to give you a chance to clarify.

I mean to people NOT from the South, West Virginia is total hillbilly country but to people FROM the South I am guessing it is not "southern"

Kansas is another interesting one. I send a lot of students to KU and they like the "Southern" feel to it. I don't really look at KU as all that "south"
