We ALL knew this would happen if Dylan signed with Big Red, which I personally didn't think was going to happen; however, it obviously did happen. Can't be shocked when players say f this I'm out when you have a star player like Raiola sign with you.

I saw it earlier and didn’t think it was credible, but if Chubba’s Dad really is sharing it, he’s probably gone. Which leaves a hole in the QB room, yet again.
Huge hole. Regardless of what some think he’s a very talented QB with a little experience. IF Raiola gets hurt we’re screwed.

The way things have gone injury wise for QBs here the past decade IF he stayed he would have probably started half our games.

This is Chubba’s HS coach. So looks like he’s gone.

Good luck Chubba.

If it's true I can't say I blame him but I hope it's not true. Because he'd be the second best QB on our roster next season. And that doesn't sound like a bad thing to me.

If Casey is in the QB room, we should be fine. If not we probably need to add a portal guy.

Disappointed if true. Was the only QB on the roster that could fully run the offense last season. I thought he'd at least stay and compete through the spring and see where it landed him on the depth chart.
Now I definitely think we need Casey back to play the Mike Grant role as the veteran.

This is disappointing. I really think he has a lot of potential if he can stay healthy and get a good QB coach. Good luck to him.

Talented? I guess. He’s been here a long time and done nothing. I don’t see anything that’s not easily replicated if needed prior to fall.

In today’s game, it will be very difficult to maintain quality depth at some positions, but specifically QB.

I’ll believe we can get a portal QB with his wheels and arm to replace him when I see it. Why would somebody with no connection to NU come in to back up a true freshman?

Yea, very difficult but now they have to get another quality QB. Two Fresh and HH not exactly giving me confidence for next year.

When he goes to Boise State and kills it, Dingle will never let us hear the end of it.

Whatever. I’d rather the young ones KNOW they better get up to speed and get trial by fire. HH will be a suitable emergency with another year.

Onward and upward.

I’d take a flyer on Matthew Sluka… at this point it can’t hurt. Fits the bill, mobile, just one year to play, and seems like he’s more of a thrower than runner.
And why do people keep mentioning Casey? I don’t see anything that alludes to him coming back.

High 4* guy who passed for over 2000 and ran for over a thousand both his junior and senior year of high school. I’ve seen enough of him to think IF given starter reps he could be a very good QB for somebody. He’s made a couple of bad mistakes but he’s hardly played. Might as well right off Raiola today if we’re going to crucify young QBs for screwing up a couple of times per game.

He got picked THREE TIMES late in games to lose the game. That is terrible and is hard to excuse. Seems to have some talent but if we are to exorcise our demons we have to part with the turnover QBs. We both need a break. Maybe his next stop will do the trick but I did not see a winner when he took the field.

Why ride with an FBS QB when we can ride with DR. Makes no sense.

Best of luck to Chubba at his new school!

I'd be good with Nebraska taking a flyer on a 1-year QB who comes in knowing they're most likely going to be the backup QB.

Quality backups at QB is a thing of the past with the transfer portal. Starting to become like the NFL, once your starter goes down kiss the season goodbye.
