I don’t think the argument was if we would have been better with Betts… the question was did letting Betts back on the team for him to quit again affect chemistry enough to prevent a 6th win somewhere this year. It was a chemistry issue. That’s how I interpreted this from the start.

You lose as many one score games as we did I bet another quality WR get us at least 1 more win.

Makes sense. Yeah, probably read it wrong… don’t think we had a toxic environment at all this year. Kids seem to be happy.

If you don't take steps to protect yourself should a head case flake out, then you're choosing to fail.

Hopefully you only need to learn that lesson once.

With our QB play it wouldn’t have mattered. Can’t catch what isn’t anywhere near you.

This is a weird thread.
The kid assaulted his girl. Maybe twice. Likely twice.

I am all for another chance, but in addition, we need to tidy JC records to get him in because after he beat his girl he or did nor attend class?

Seems like one that will rob a vape shop at best.

There are 5 star athletes that are not likely felons.

This guy should be a hard pass.

If we don't want a DII level talent starting for us again, then yes, we are. I'd say the WR group is more pressing than QB, even if Raiola weren't N.

Coleman and Lloyd need to make a big jump in year 2, but I agree we need more depth and talent at that position. Far too often walk on WRs were playing as many snaps as scholarship players were.

Probably because after the scholarship WR were all injured, we hardly had anyone left except walk-on WR. I heard numerous complaints the last few recruiting cycles that we've been taking too many scholarship WR and complaints when some of them are switched to DB. How many scholarship WR do we have and how many do we need? Maybe it's possible that some of those walk-on WR have actually "earned" the playing time over some of the scholarship guys.

i think that comes when we have a QB that can hit them on the run and when they're actually open.
