Harbaugh recruited and developed JJ. Michigan doesn’t need other teams leftovers to win games
You mean other than the 9 transfers Michigan brought in for this season? Another dumbass troll.

Will Howard is a marginally good qb. He is not a difference maker.
Seems like a consolation prize.
Hope for something better. But if he wants to come here, it would be laughable to throw much money at him.
If we can pair him with a top 15-20ish defense he is a difference maker for us.

Would be cool if Will and T Ward were a package deal but I think we will probably see UConn RB DeVontea Houston commit soon. EJ is sort of struggling on recruiting right now and seems pretty obvious that EJ is desperate and probably worked his way in on an old player

Its posts like this that make it hard to take you seriously. I’m not trying to be mean, just don’t understand this take.

Should I believe you, or the coaches that are attempting to woo him to their school? There are a lot of talking heads as well who speak highly of him. What makes you think he’s marginal at best?
His stats.
He's thrown 25 career interceptions. Heck Adrian had 30 in one more season of play. You might be right, led his team to the Pop-Tart Bowl (seriously). Now if it's plain or frosted we will have to wait to find out.
He has good stats otherwise, I'm just so ready to be over being college footballs turnover king.

39 TDs to 14 INTs the last two seasons plus 12 TDs on the ground. Seems like a pretty big upgrade.

Thanks for the clarification. And agreed, the turnovers have to be addressed.

His backup is a budding superstar. I think Howard saw the handwriting on the wall and decided to bail. If he is cheap, bring him in. It would be a big upgrade, but not a massive one.

He did something Michigan couldn't do last year. Beat TCU

A marginally good QB would‘ve made THE difference nearly every game this season

I like Purdy a lot but you can’t rest easy with what we have. HAVE to improve that room.
I like Purdy also. But everyone is one hit from sitting on the bench for an extended period of time.

Everyone likes Haarberg. In front of the mic, In front of a crowd, Running the ball. Passing, not so much. He might get better doing that with a year of coaching. Or he may not. So let’s get some additional quality players in that position.

Got to give Hairball a pass on that one. After all, they didn’t send their sign stealers to the TCU games, so they couldn’t prepare like they did for other teams.

OU's and OSU's qb's transferring has to help us out. Has to take 2 teams off the list above us who need a portal qb.

So one plays while the guy who has 2 years sits on the bench? Why transfer then?
And you've opened up the can of worms the nil/portal has caused. You have to think long and hard about taking a one and done qb. Because you may be chasing away some fine younger players. Unless that one and done is a super star I don't know that its worth it. These days, apparently, you can't have more than one talented qb on your roster.

Make it 3. IF we land Will I bet Purdy considers leaving. Hope ISU doesn’t come calling☹️
I don't think he will seriously consider Iowa State because their freshman QB settled in and progressed quite well as the season went along. I don't think Purdy would go there to be backing up a freshman. Rocco Becht actually reminds me of a young Brock Purdy.

Marginally good QB okay this year would have won us 8 games.
10+ this year if Howard stayed healthy. We lost 5 games by a field goal or in OT. You don't think he's at least a TD better than what we had? Also likely beat CU. Lose to Michigan but much closer, and then probably lose to them again in the rematch.

With next year's schedule, with a healthy Howard, 8 wins is the reasonable floor.
