Just saw ESPN say it was 1st attempt of the year.

To win the game! Dang.

They did. The FGs (and 2 OOB kickoffs) were enough. Not sure if something physical or mental as sounds like struggled with wind in warm-ups. Maybe messed with him

That 22 yard run hurt at the end hurt. Turn that into a 5 yard run and Iowa's kicker doesn't get it over the crossbar.

Exactly. Just like all year when our allegedly great defense wilted in crunch time and allowed our opponents to run through us at the end like **** through a goose. We really did have a much better defense this year. But the end of game aspect has to improve next year.

They really have had what seem to be mental lapses at key moments.

Gutsy move but paid off. Maybe their kicker took NU.

It paid off since his head wasn't on from 2 blocks. Their freshman beat our freshman

With the ball at the 45 and only 25 seconds nobody is thinking run. To get into FG range you have to pass. Iowa just decided to run it and once they got past the DL the LBs were all in coverage. So it wasn't really a lapse but overconfidence in the DL.

I was surprised that Sanford played as there is no doubt he got a concussion vs Wisconsin. I saw him miss on two of their longest runs yesterday.

They simply gave up. They knew it as much as we did, that they were gonna get walked off. Bad D.

This doesn’t look like a defense that was looking for a pass. LBs and safety crash the line. Missed tackles and over pursuit. 37 not only wiffs but pushes 4 in the back to basically block him out of the play.
