He was by far the best qb we’ve seen all year. Our coaches are just beyond retarded.

Purdy played well against the third best defense NU will play this year. There was a legit threat of being able to pass for a change.

I'd set him up as incumbent (pending if next week looks anything like this game or that last drive where he drove the whole field in the end). But bring in a portal guy and make Purdy agree to a QB competition, but his job to lose. Kaelin RS the year to really get acclimated with the college game, HH serve as third string.

Sims probably (hopefully) leaves.

There is not a bigger *** on this board than King Kong, who says he will admit when he’s wrong, but he’s just a liar. This was by far the best QB performance of the season, hands down, from anll of our QBs, and this guy who has been downright horrible to Purdy all season, calls Purdy a loser. Classic.

Not a bigger piece of trash on this board right now. You expect this kind of trolling from other team’s fans masquerading as husker fans. But this husker fan is worse than the trolls. It’s truly sickening.

Rhule and Satt would make Tom Brady a loser. We’re about to make more clown coaches millions of dollars 😒

Chubba is good but we need better. But then again he may improve quite a bit BY PRACTICING AND PLAYING IN GAMES. Tonight's game was an accusation against our offensive coaches. All year long Purdy sits on the bench.

For 7-8 games, Purdy was not completely healthy. As recently as a few weeks ago it was shared on this board that Purdy just about pulled the plug on the season for season ending surgery. But don’t let that stop your crusade against the coaches.

Purdy is the only QB currently on roster that can make a legit impact next year.
Absolutely. The only real QB on the roster. HH showed a lot of heart but just doesn't have the ability as a Div-IA QB. Sims shouldn't touch the ball again in a game.
The loss sucked but Purdy was overall encouraging.

I like wins.

I'll leave the premature ejaculation to the board superlative blowers.

like I said, tonight's loss was the best win of the year in many people's eyes.
Have you lost your mind? Chubba played well. Threw the ball to the right team-that’s a switch. If as has been reported, he had rotator cuff surgery in the early spring, his shoulder is finally back, and that is why he has emerged. Maybe HH with some coaching can improve, but CP is clearly the best right now.

At this point he is just a clown. Purdy literally ***** all over the other pitiful excuses we've trotted out there this year. Honestly, Rhule needs to answer some serious questions on what the hell they've been watching at practice all year...

It’s been widely reported that Purdy has not been healthy. I think we would have seen him much sooner if he was healthier. But I’m not an insider, so I could be wrong.

HH has a weird throwing motion, is inaccurate beyond 10 yards, and doesn't seem to read coverages. The latter might be fixable but not sure the first two issues can be.

OP, I think you have to go out and look for competition at QB1. None of the QBs on our roster have separated themselves enough to be guaranteed anything next year. I think we should be looking at upwards of 3 or 4 QB's to add to the roster next season. It would be an utter failure for Rhule to go into next season with what he has right now.
Purdy did separate himself from the other two in my opinion but only enough to be named the starting QB for the IA game, beyond that, they have to compete for it.

Rhule hinted at this in a press conference after the first win. Easy to see why, now that we've seen what Chubba is capable of with just a weeks of practicing with the 1s.

I think we'd like to keep Purdy and HH and then see if we can get someone from the portal who can compete for the starting spot.

Yeah you're right ding dong. He lost the game. He lost to a team we were dogs in by as much as 7. He threw for 169yds, 15/23, 1 TD, 1int...Ran for 105yds on 14 carries after taking 50% of the snaps with the 1s this week...guy is a total loser. I see no redeemable qualities or any reason to keep him around.

Yardage totals look a lot like healthy HH’s minus the win

113 yards on 2 plays. Couldn’t muster any magic when we needed it most.

Ah well. Maybe next week.

Yeah, your guy HH is the future, no doubt. Guy lights it up when healthy.
One of these days purdy will do enough to win

At least he finished the game today. Big step in the right direction.

Congrats on the close loss. Building blocks and whatnot. 🫠
