Didn’t expect that. I liked the play calling that drive too. I want to see him throw it a bit. Good drive, kid

Sims and Haarberg need to both be ready to play. It's about the team.

Why has this dude been on the bench for so long?

He looks great

He actually has field sense, can run and not take nasty hits, can run option, and has been hitting guys downfield.

He looks nothing like the guy last year who was terrible beyond comprehension

No turnovers. Or near turnovers.

Instead of throwing to covered WRs, tucks and runs to pick up positive yards.

Our coach has praised Purdy all year. He hasn’t been healthy to get touches
sounds like he could have played 2 weeks ago. Should have come in instead of Sims earlier but he wasn’t getting reps because he was running the scout team☹️

Looks like a real Qb. First time this year we’ve had that. We have other good athletes. But one isn’t a “quarterback” for this offense (agree with Blackledge) and the other turns it over every 7 touches.

My god this thread aged poorly. Sims<Haarberg<Purdy<85% of all starting D1 QB's. Purdy looked good for about 15 minutes. He's not the answer.

Purdy’s ineffectiveness the second half probably had a lot to do with our play calling and the inability of our WRs to get open. Teddy killed us a couple of times with penalties and whiffs as well. Purdy was the only hope we had and once again he put us in a position to win on that last drive. Very disappointed with Rhule and Satterfield on those last 4-5 plays leading up to the tying field goal. Wisconsin’s D played very well as they have much of the year.

When does Teddy P use of his eligibility again? Asking for a friend.

I agree that under the circumstances Purdy did better than I would have hoped for going into the game. He also looks like the best shot for developing into a decent QB. I'm still hoping we can bring in someone that is a proven performer instead of continuing to hope for a miracle from average players.
