Not saying perfect. But all throwing QBs take some calculated risks and typically get away with it.
sounds like he could have played 2 weeks ago. Should have come in instead of Sims earlier but he wasn’t getting reps because he was running the scout team
Looks like a real Qb. First time this year we’ve had that. We have other good athletes. But one isn’t a “quarterback” for this offense (agree with Blackledge) and the other turns it over every 7 touches.
Absolutely. But he should play all the snaps the Iowa game and the potential bowl game unless he gets hurt or NU gets a big lead.
Purdy’s ineffectiveness the second half probably had a lot to do with our play calling and the inability of our WRs to get open. Teddy killed us a couple of times with penalties and whiffs as well. Purdy was the only hope we had and once again he put us in a position to win on that last drive. Very disappointed with Rhule and Satterfield on those last 4-5 plays leading up to the tying field goal. Wisconsin’s D played very well as they have much of the year.
I agree that under the circumstances Purdy did better than I would have hoped for going into the game. He also looks like the best shot for developing into a decent QB. I'm still hoping we can bring in someone that is a proven performer instead of continuing to hope for a miracle from average players.
We haven't seen a guy that play qb that naturally all year long. After his ball fake on the first option play I knew he was gonna be alright in that game.
