Bummer for him. He may be a dork, but he does seem like a genuinely good person. It’s going to put the Viks in a hard position this season and going forward with signing him.

My Lions may be the only team in the NFC North that has the same QB next year.

Gotta be happy for your retread QB. Lions have been long suffering.

Every time I see Cousins I think of the 2011 beat down we put on MSU in 2011. I think they were ranked just outside the top 10 (?? 11th). We beat MSU with Cousins and Leveon Bell 24-3. Cousins was 11-27 for 86 yards and an INT

It's so strange how some teams give us trouble and some don't. I always feel confident against MSU. Wisconsin? Never.

Vikes definitely drafting a top qb now. Cautious Kirk era is now complete. Thanks for all of the great playoff memories 😅

Vikings aren’t worried about QB for this year, They’ll be going after Aaron Rodgers next year for a Favre 2.0..🤪😂

He also throws a ton of TDs. But you're right, he's going to give up the ball a lot.
1.4 TD/int for career. Not good. Had a better year two years ago and then 4tds/5 INTs last year in limited action. I would rather they signed an UDFA rookie to fill the role. They’re done for regardless.

And Dobbs has a 1.25 TD/int for career and yet you said, "(Minnesota) Dodged a bullet on Winston and got Dobbs."

You're talking about 2022 when Winston played a whopping 3 games. The prior year (2021) would be a better comparison to this year due to the number of remaining games (2021 he played 7 games, there are 8 remaining games this season) and that prior year (2021) he threw for 14 TDs / 3 INTs.

No one is saying that he has a good TD/INT ratio. That's an argument you're having with yourself, but for some reason that TD/INT ratio isn't a concern with Dobbs.

The point is; Yes, you're right, Winston throws a ton of INT's, but he's also going to keep you in many games by throwing a lot of TDs as well. He's worse than Kirk, but it's unlikely that he wouldn't completely destroy the Vikings season. At worse he keeps them in a playoff hunt.

Dobbs has hardly played. He’s 10 TDs to 8 INTs. Don’t need that F’n idiot Winston on any team I root for. Dobbs has been brought in as a veteran backup who already knows the basics of the Vikings offense.

Dingle, you're better than this. You bring up career TD/Int ratio as a reason why Winston sucks, but then won't use that exact same standards on Dobbs.

What's Dobbs W/L record going to be at Minnesota assuming he starts?

I'm going to go with 5-3.

He isn’t starting this weekend. IF you sign Winston, he’s your starter and no doubt you had to give up more to get him. Dobbs is cheap and already has run this offense. They’re done for the year anyway. Just get through the season without expending any more money or draft capital than you have to.

I'm not sure the Vikings are "done". I only say that because the rest of their schedule is pretty weak.

Earlier when you said (I'm paraphrasing) "Dobbs was a better pickup than Winston", I thought you meant in terms of winning games for the remainder of the season. Apparently I misunderstood what you had meant by that.

Vikings are going to win enough games to barely be a playoff team and get a mediocre draft pick. Sounds great.

I was really hoping the Vikings would bring back Case Keenum, if only to commemorate the last time they didn’t fold like a tent in the postseason.

Should have signed another. Hall looked pretty good until he tried to put his head down to score. Safety wasnt having any of that. Done. Now their only option is Dobbs who got there Tuesday. I think their emergency QB is KJ Osborne who just got cold cocked.
