That is a game that Nebraska 1000% finds a way to lose in past seasons. That is growth. It was ugly but that's a type of game Nebraska hasn't won in seemingly forever.
Something I noticed is that on the 2 huge plays we gave up, our defensive players ran them down, caught up and pulled them down instead of giving up the touchdown. Speed and determination. Then both of those times we held them the next 3 downs and they settled for field goals. That’s one of the huge differences in these close games

I’ll say this. I didn’t pucker up when NW had the ball at the end. Full confidence the D was going to get a stop. Haven’t had that feeling in a loooooong time.
Defense generally looks good, but we’ve got to force more turnovers really zero turnovers against NW if you discount that Hail Mary right before halftime. For the remainder of the season, not only do they need more turnovers, but they’ve got to get them into the end zone with picks sixes or Scoop & scores. We can’t count on this offense to score even from the 5 yard line.
Gawd that made me laugh. Comparing this guy's wingspan to a top 10 pick and then saying they don't actually know his wingspan. Lol. Why the need to be so specific?
His JUCO stats were pretty good. He’s a guy who will probably need to go on scholarship to keep him.
I'm sure Rhule will be happy to put him on scholarship if he continues at this pace. This is what the walk-on program is supposed to be. Earning a chance to contribute on a good unit. Too often we have played walk-ons due to recruiting failures.
