I’m calling out the media for gushing over Wisconsin pre-season. I knew there was going to be growing pains with a new staff but the media anointed Wisconsin as winning the B1G West. They don’t know ****!

good chance our business partners to the east are 10-1 coming to Lincoln for our annual friendly
I think you're right . It's almost impossible to think a team with no offense can win all these games but defense, special teams, and luck are always in Iowa's favor.

Big injuries are mounting up. One or two more injuries at almost any position and it’s bad news.
Meh

Not like you need to defend any QBs or skill players in this league

Or score 20 points

Your punter and our QB are the best offensive players in the division

It also helps when you play teams that have terrible offenses themselves.

Washington had more passing yards on one play than Iowa did all game. Iowa’s WRs have 14 yards in two games yet somehow they keep winning.

Statistically it has to be nearly impossible to be 6-1 with that offense … but here they are.

Looks like they ran the ball for over 200 yds, so theres your answer on how they won.

No way....that can't be a true stat.
Just looked it up. Iowa didn’t complete a pass to a WR last week vs Purdue. They threw for 110 yards between a TE and RB. Today, they completed 2 passes to a WR for 13 yards. They had a total of 37 passing yards.

Unreal, I know they always Brag about Iowa and the TE's but that's their receiver.

Wisconsin's QB went out early and Frosh stepped in that couldn't run or read the field. The Iowa punter was the star , if it wasn't for one broken play on D for Wisconsin ,Iowa had no offense to speak of.

You were all saying that Maryland would be the best team in the West.

And like clockwork, they lose at home to a West team.
That's why I like to wait and play the game. They ran into some defense today and gave me a glimmer of hope that we can win.

Wisconsin was getting some hype for no reason. Iowa doing what they do, play good defense and let the other team beat themselves.

Checked in at the Iowa board, they're actually convinced they totally dominated the game an amazed at how the KF and BF turned around the team. It's comical.

This is my fearless prediction for the rest of Iowa's season. They win the west and get killed in the Big10 title game against whoever in the east wins. A few weeks later they will get killed by whatever good team (USC, Alabama, LSU, Texas, Okie, Oregon....) they face in a good bowl game. This Iowa team reminds me a little of the late 80's Husker teams that were always good and got beat in the bowl game by much better teams. FTR, most of them late 80's Husker teams would throw up half a hundred on this current Iowa team.

I’m sure they think that. Many fans only see their team as they want to see them. An outsider is able to make a much more accurate analysis. Curious what they think has been turned around?

Nobody thinks this. It's made up ********. 99 % of the fanbase understands that Iowa's offense is one of the worst in FBS and relies solely on defense and special teams to win games. They did beat Wisconsin for the 2nd consecutive time to take control of the West though. Most of the fans are of course happy about that just as Nebraska fans wouid be. The rest are less than happy because it likely means a continuation of the abysmal offenses that have become the norm under the offensive staff. That’s the reality on the Iowa board.

Yeah alright I'll own it. Maryland had me fooled and/or had a letdown game after losing to OSU. They had me believing things were different for them this year. Perhaps not. I should know better than to trust Maryland. They seem to do this every single year.
