Looks like a pile of ****.1. Wisconsin
2. Iowa
3. Nebraska
4. Minnesota
5. Purdue
6. Illinois
7. Northwestern
The true winner of the big ten west is the team that finishes 2nd and avoids being brutalized by the east champion in the big ten championship game
Our injuries keep piling up. We are razor thin at RB and WR. Going to be hard to win if we can’t score points, which were already hard to come by.
I recall getting slaughtered by Wiscy in a title game.Same as every season, a pathetic division. It's embarrassing that we've managed to never win it. Hopefully we do in its last season
What he said ^^^The true winner of the big ten west is the team that finishes 2nd and avoids being brutalized by the east champion in the big ten championship game
Legends and leaders is different than the west. We haven't ever won the west.I recall getting slaughtered by Wiscy in a title game.
Assuming MN loses again….Nebraska essentially controls its own destiny.Who ya got?
This is not easy,
1. Wisconsin
2. Iowa
3. Nebraska
4. Minnesota
5. Purdue
6. Illinois
7. Northwestern
We are getting better each week, and playing hard.
Might only need 5 conference wins, but probably need 6. 5-1 the rest of the way.
Ok, you got me on a technicality.Legends and leaders is different than the west. We haven't ever won the west.
Sounds like the Big 12 without Oklahoma and Texas.1. Tallest midget
2. Little person
3. Person of short stature
4. Dwarf
5. Midget
6. Midget
7. Shortest midget
Yea get anopther beat down by MI in the Championship game. Yay.Assuming MN loses again….Nebraska essentially controls its own destiny.
Would be awesome to see that continue into November.
utah and colorado replace them. it's not like northwestern and minnesota.Sounds like the Big 12 without Oklahoma and Texas.
You never know maybe Michigan has an off day and PSU wins the east and then Nebraska makes it competitive in a championship game. Might as well dream since it’s not happening either way. Rather win the division still though.Yea get anopther beat down by MI in the Championship game. Yay.
Don't get me wrong I would take winning the west any day. Just sucks to then get destroyed on TV again.
think of what that means. beating Wisconsin & Iowa in the same season would be huge for Rhule's first year.Yea get anopther beat down by MI in the Championship game. Yay.

Colorado is like Northwestern. They both only had 1 win last season. Colorado vs Northwestern in the toilet bowl.utah and colorado replace them. it's not like northwestern and minnesota.
texas hasn't won a b12 championship in a decade. with them, you're all in on 'name,' not performance. it's illogical but fact, their name means more than their results. utah would have curb-stomped them throughout that period.Colorado is like Northwestern. Utah is a good team but they are not on the level of Texas and Oklahoma.

In 2019, Texas beat Utah 38-10 in the Alamo Bowl. moralvictories fits you well.In 2019, Texas beat Utah 38-10 in the Alamo Bowl. Utah was the one who got curb stomped.
Whatever, my point still stands. Utah's success in recent years was mainly due to the fact that USC and Oregon have been down recently. Utah tends to lose against good competition. They might win the Big 12 their 1st year, but the main reason for that is because none of the rest of the teams in the Big 12 are good.moralvictories fits you well.
Texas has to contend with Oklahoma year in and year out and most of the time Oklahoma wins that matchup.obviously, texas doesn't benefit from the same fundamentals being in the weak b12 they have won nothing over the past decade, zero.
Not only that, but Utah's success has come at the expense of a bunch of bad teams, all of which suddenly became good when they agreed to join the Big Ten.obviously, texas doesn't benefit from the same fundamentals being in the weak b12 they have won nothing over the past decade, zero.
exactly. the way most of the people around here act, you would think we were adding Alabama and Georgia to our conference. Not only that, but Utah's success has come at the expense of a bunch of bad teams, all of which suddenly became good when they agreed to join the Big Ten.
Funny how that works.
Utah lost back to back Rose Bowls. Last year, they lost to the 3rd best team in the B1G, Penn State. The year before that, they lost to the 2nd best team in the B1G, Ohio State. Even in Utah's best years, they would only be the 3rd or 4th best team in the B1G.Not only that, but Utah's success has come at the expense of a bunch of bad teams, all of which suddenly became good when they agreed to join the Big Ten.

I don't really have a dog in these fights but non-playoff bowl games are a joke. Good players don't play more than half the timeUtah lost back to back Rose Bowls. They are kind of like the NIT and the CBI tournaments in college basketball.I don't really have a dog in these fights but non-playoff bowl games are a joke. Good players don't play more than half the time
And yet the Utes are the two-time defending champion of the conference that's supposedly bringing an entirely new level of greatness to the Blowhard Ten. If Utah was joining the B1G instead of one of the other four, you would be shouting from the highest mountaintop about how great they are.Utah lost back to back Rose Bowls. I think this year the B1G has the best teams but I could be wrongThey are kind of like the NIT and the CBI tournaments in college basketball.
USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Washington are not easy wins like Rutgers, Northwestern, and Indiana. I would say that they are a step above teams like Wisconsin, Iowa, and Purdue. I don't think the new teams will dominate the B1G but they certainly won't be pushovers either. And yet the Utes are the two-time defending champion of the conference that's supposedly bringing an entirely new level of greatness to the Blowhard Ten.
