Watching this clip actually shows some progress for HH in the throwing game. The delivery being a little low, but didn't look too bad when you look at it play by play.
Yep. Also noticed he didn't seem to stare down the receiver as bad as he had done in the previous games. He's obviously made a little bit of a jump in the passing game as he has got more experience. He puts it on the money more often than not
Clearly our best guy
Washington needs to catch the damn ball! Has had quite a few flat out drops.Biggest concern is tipped or knock down passes at the line of scrimmage…
Washington to be targeted more helping Kemp getting doubled teamed..
He betterI expect him to play well against Illinois. The question is, will he start?

He throws like he’s 5’8”

Too many guys are trying to be Pat Mahomes.Good effort on HH's part. Hate that little side-arm throw from the waist though!
not just coaches who didn't think he was worth itI can't believe his coaches growing up didn't correct that and after 2 full years at UNL he still has such a low throwing slot - unless he has some physical limitations that keeps him from releasing higher. Perhaps coaches in Lincoln previously didn't think he was worth the work to fix it? I hope they do now. Agree, however, you can't fix it during the season, if it can even be fixed at this point.
Goodness. He’s got the lowest release point of any thrower not named Dan Quisenberry. That’s not to say he can’t be an effective passer but it does lead to more batted passes. He needs open throwing lanes in his line more so than a 6-3 guy who comes over the top.Yes. Just what I said.
purdy good name drop there, dingle!Goodness. He’s got the lowest release point of any thrower not named Dan Quisenberry. That’s not to say he can’t be an effective passer but it does lead to more batted passes. He needs open throwing lanes in his line more so than a 6-3 guy who comes over the top.
Are you arguing with yourself? The thread is about the progress he has made and now you are trying to spin something that isn't there. As I stated in another follow up, HH has made a lot of progress in a couple of games throwing the ball and isn't staring down receivers. Sheesh man.. he will never admit anything about HH.Are you arguing with yourself? The thread is about the progress he has made and now you are trying to spin something that isn't there. backhanded compliments are the best you'll get.I think taking him was a mistake. JMO.
You literally have the dumbest hot takes on the quarterback on this board. Take a lap.Goodness. He’s got the lowest release point of any thrower not named Dan Quisenberry. it's literally personal. You literally have the dumbest hot takes on the quarterback on this board. Take a lap.

Yep. That was the first thing that stood out. And pretty much the last. The main conclusion I draw is that this line play is just horrific.
What I do respect about Rhule is he has made the switch - granted the injury helped the decision but Sims is healthy now.it's literally personal.
he's been laughing at the prospect of Haarberg playing since 2021. championing purdy as "someone we can win with" for 10+ months.
can't turn back now lest he (gasp!) admits he was wrong, which he's clearly incapable of doing.
I’m sure he’ll take us to a conference championship. He should be the model for every QB we recruit.it's literally personal.

still believe he shouldn’t even be on the team, I see.I’m sure he’ll take us to a conference championship. He should be the model for every QB we recruit.![]()
I know, how can you not start him after he led us to 7 points last week?He better
Rhule will lose the team if not
Two things Dingle will never admit to regardless of how much contrary data there is:he will never admit anything about HH.
only point out flaws and detract.
he's too dug in.

I am going to bring up two play on that video, and one final comment after these two plays
- 0:12 mark... That may have been a completed pass, but that play will justify my final comment. His footwork and release point on that play CANNOT get any worse. It is headache material for me.
- 1:24 mark... This play gives me a little hope that he can figure it out, but he has got to do more with his footwork in general to get more consistent. It is no where near where it needs to be to be the STARTING quarterback for the University of Nebraska.
Final comment is this. Until his fixes his release point nothing else matters. You can't have 4 balls batted down on 20 throws. His decision making may get better, but teams are going to eat that release point and footwork up ALL YEAR. I am not going to sugar coat his deficiencies

AT THE TIME I QUESTIONED us offering him the QB room was pretty stocked it APPEARED. My point at the time was about taking a fall back plan B guy when Frost’s first choices all said no. Hell he wasn’t even a plan B based on the other guys who turned Frost down. Thank God I guess we have him now because multiple people I trust the opinion of say the whole room sucks.still believe he shouldn’t even be on the team, I see.
Still standing by your statement from the spring “he has no chance to play this fall”, somehow, also
Meanwhile purdy has been reduced to carrying HH’s jock, despite your calls for him as recently as the CU game - “I would go with experience”.
And once again you’re lying.he will never admit anything about HH.
