Satterfield indicated that Fleeks has been working at RB for a couple of weeks and now they’ve made it permanent. He’s an older player that has played in games that have meant something. At this point, probably better him taking reps than the younger guys against Michigan.

Might mean a couple freshman WR are ready to start taking some more reps in games. That could be wishful thinking though.

Looks like we’re finally getting the “bloodbath” practices that Mark Banker wistfully spoke of 7 years ago. Another sign that, no matter what happens Saturday, our prolonged era of fielding Charmin soft defensive units is finally coming to an end.

He got too used to not pitching after years of Dan Alexander fumbling.
I have vivid memories of Dan being very top-heavy, and he kept leaning forward, almost looking for contact that wasn’t there, only to fall down in open holes….

Bleekrode before Bleekrode.
Apologies to the backup kicker.

I agree. I still don't know why the jet sweep isn't as big anymore. That play is tough to defend and opens up the interior.
Well we scored a TD with a jet sweep last week, so there's that!

With all the window dressing motion, it's good to actually make good on one of those every now and then - resuscitating for a score in the red zone.

We've only ran it three times this year..Billy Kemp for a TD, Lloyd in game one for 9 yards, and Hill for -5.

I believe Lloyd and Hill were both on reverses, not jet sweeps.

I think we need more reverses and option passes to keep people honest if we are going to run option.

I meant just running with the WRs in general since our RB options are now limited. I don't see HH being a true option guy as his pitch hasn't been there yet and he isn't fluid enough from what I've seen. That speed option has worked well thus far though.
