Anybody have a link of that catch? I was driving and missed that one. Benning and Sharp made it sound like he made a great leaping catch on a poor throw.

It was definitely a poor throw as were most of HHs today. He throws a nice tight spiral though. The pass to TF was lead high and TF made a great leaping catch.

max blitz

Haarberg stood in the teeth of it and delivered high

nice catch and run by Fidone, who's benefitted immensely from his former roommate's rise

If Fidone couldn’t rebound like a power forward that one had INT written all over it.

Made a nice play, that's a luxury of having a tall athletic TE. HH making use of him.

Really wish we were utilizing both tightends, as I think that would create more surprises for the defense? JMO

Honestly think those two are building chemistry. And if you open a dude like that up, a LB too slow to cover and a corner/safety to small to cover, giddy giddy.

Then all of a sudden some of our WRs start looking good.

Joe Montana he's not.
HH has one thing, strong and fast. After years of running qb's who aren't really qb's at all, we got a running qb who can't operate a passing game. I guess he's a Jeff Sims minus the mass turnovers.
They've disguised his runs as false options. He isn't even thinking about pitching that ball. I know it's not fair to come down too hard on a qb left to the wolves by an anemic OL but I'd guess his throwing would be serviceable at best given ample time.

they brought 8 right up the gut in HH's face

he stood in there and delivered a catchable ball

good play on both ends
Man you'll change reality to fit your narratives at any cost, knowing full well we can all go back and watch the game. First, they brought 6 guys. Second, HH was able to step up into the pocket. Third, The pressure up the middle got there late. The announcers even said he had plenty of time to deliver the ball. It was just a terrible throw, bailed out by a freakish athlete. If anyone wants to watch it for yourself, it's the start of the 4th quarter.

The guy was 8-17 yesterday against LA Tech. He's completing just over 51% of his throws the last two games, against two VERY POOR FBS programs. Next week will be a true measuring stick of where HH is and my guess is we'll all be clamoring for Sims to get another chance...

Looks like Haarbagh put it out of the reach of would be defensers with as high as he went up to get it and that's what you want to do.

Kinda doubt the Sims idea but the rest is pretty accurate. Haarberg is what he is in the passing game but Sims was killing us with the turnovers.

I would argue LT defense is every bit as good as Colorados. With that said. I'm not going to go over the top about HH. But exactly what have we seen out of Sims to be clamoring for him to be a starter? Poor decisions many turnovers has been Sims story this year. HH is every bit as dangerous as Sims running and yes HH throws the ball high. But he doesn't turn the ball over. HH has 2 total starts in his career. Sims has what 3 years. Sims is who he is.

It amazes me at the people that just seem to want HH to fail.

NOBODY wants him to fail. Let’s just be rational about his abilities. Big strong athletic kid who has some shortcomings in the passing game. In other words he’s pretty typical of many NU QBs over the last 40 years.. There’s a reason we haven’t had QBs drafted as QBs for decades.

It seems to me one of the biggest problems with his passing is most of his passes are forty yards down the field. He usually overthrows the guy by five yards on those passes. Why can't they go more T-Magic and mix in a lot more 5-10 yard passes. In the former, it did make the offense much more predictable and brought the entire defense within five yards of the LOS every play. Maybe stretch the field every once in a while and just focus on telling the O-line to establish the run game. Win that battle first. Thats a big ask though. That unit and coach seem to really struggle.

Wrong answer bud, there was a defender 1 or 2 yards off to the side of him. I suggest you go back and watch.
What play are you watching? HH tossed if over #3 who was on his receiver *ref. That dude was five yards in front of Fidone. #2 was covering Fidone and he was a good seven yards BEHIND him in chase. He was WIDE open. Nobody in the same zip code.

Admitting that HH is a less than accurate passer isn't wanting him to fail.
No it’s not, but you got people on this board that obviously deep down don’t want HH to be the guy. They play like their innocent but you see it.

And to say HH isn’t accurate is stating something obvious. Duh. That’s why we use the Josh Allen comparison over and over again. Remember when Allen came to Lincoln? JA didn’t look to dam accurate then. He threw 5 picks. HH just needs to continue to throw just like Josh did. Keep working on it. Most coaches hate inaccurate QBs because it’s hard to fix but a player can fix it if he throws a ton. And we don’t need HH being Josh Allen to win.

We need him to not turn the ball over (which he’s doing) and put up +21. If we do that, no doubt we will go bowling this year. no other QB on our roster has proven to do either of those things with their chance. None.

TF is starting to make his presence known on the field and showing us why he was the number one TE in his recruiting class. I believe he will become HH's favorite target and make many more big plays for the Huskers.
He also made a great block on Kemp's jet sweep TD. I pray he stays healthy.

The dude was still in closing range but Haarberg protected from the over and under defenders. Had that ball been thrown lower # 3 would have intercepted it.

I mean, the throw was fine. The receiver caught the ball for a touchdown. What more can you ask for?

Great catch. We desperately needed this dude to step up and he has. HH has to grow up quickly in the passing game and Fidone, Grant and Kemp have to be outstanding for this offense to move the ball at all.

Thanks for posting that. I just went backed and rewatched my recording. At least Kong can see for himself just how bad his memory is 🙂
The announcer literally said “under pressure” as he released it

Nowhere did I hear “plenty of time to throw”, like you posted

Why the misinformation?
