puzzling, to say the least

doesn't appear the plan is to redshirt him, so why not throw him the ball?

Won't be surprised if he hits the portal after this season. Just hope he doesn't end up in Boulder.

Not really puzzling. QBs aren't very good. They miss a lot of dudes that are wide open.

I could see a player that is not happy at any university impose a self redshirt by not playing beyond 4 games and then transferring at the end of the semester.

Of course there are quite a few risks involved with current and possibly future teammates/coaching staff. Pulling that type of move is questionable but it is 2023 so anything is possible in college football/player movement.

If Coleman were ready to play and produce, he would be given the short WR depth.

It's just not puzzling. It's the limitations of the qbs.
it's extremely puzzling.

has nothing to do with the QBs to draw up a play where the ball goes to him.

screen, swing, etc.

you don't need to be dan marino to throw the ball in the direction of the highest rated WR recruit we have

The qb still has to throw it. That's most of the problem.

11 different Huskers have receptions this year, including our starting quarterback.

our backup corner has 4 targets and a carry.

our highest rated recruit has nary a target.

Then call it again or draw up another...WR reverse maybe???? Something. We're 4 games jn...our offense blows...he's an incredible talent...I find it hard to believe it's all on the QB he hasn't even been looked at yet.
It's probably mostly on the qb. But you're right, they could call a reverse or something.

to make it even more puzzling, I believe he's only run 1 single route all season - in the opener

he was open for a TD but Sims took a sack

only other plays I've seen him in on offense have been runs

Coleman wasn't listed as a starter but I believe he was out there for the first series. At least the first couple of plays.

It’s not like we’ve seen him running wide open that I’m aware of. He did manage to get flagged for a holding that cost us a TD. Tough play for him.

Considering our incredible offensive limitations, it is very hard to understand why he isn’t getting touches.

We need to use our young receivers more. Kemp is really good but he is small and we need more options. Washington has been terrible. Why can we run plays for Tommi Hill but not some of our highly rated young receivers?

It’s because Satterfield is dumb. It is puzzling, I agree. How can we not give him a shot a few times a game to start bringing him along. At this point we should just start all the freshman because Washington and the best route runner of all time isn’t getting it done.

I thought he was one of the fastest kids in the country. Why is he not running free behind these lame defenses we’ve played?

it might start up front, actually with the two tackles who watch the d ends run right around them on almost every play, thus whoever the qb is doesn't have enough time to see the streaking receiver running down the field. it is a very easy answer.

He is a track guy playing football. Big jump from high school to college football. It takes minute
Lloyd is a track athlete, Coleman is 6-4 /6-5. with speed just need to find ways to get him the ball.

Been mentioned that he’s isn’t 100% but don’t if that’s the case besides knowing the offense more consistently..
