They will be lucky to win 3 games this year.
The biggest mistake they made was updating and renovating. They spent money they didn't need to spend. They will never be good and they knew that. Just cash your Big Ten checks and accept the fact that you are a lame FB program.
That's because people still go to Nebraska games. They're into torture I guess.
And Iowa and Minn are for us. Let that sink in. Just hope we can win 1 out 5 against them.

In all seriousness it will be nice when the big ten west is nuked next year and those teams will have to swim in the deep end of the pool with some teams that aren’t perpetual embarrassments
I've said it before and don't want to sound like a broken record... but as bad as the West has been it makes me even more sad that we've never won it. I'll save everyone the suspense and say the West will lose the championship game this year (again) and make it a perfect 0-10 in title games. Pretty embarassing.
Agree with you that I'm not going to shed any tears when the divisions get nuked. Best way I can sum up the tenure of the Big 10 West is:
Hopefully we lay the wood to them. Because Frost found a way to lose to that kind of team every time.

I like Fickell, and I know that many top coaching minds think very highly of him. But when the calendar flips to October every year and the temps drop, I have a hard time seeing how they’ll morph the air-raid/RPO game with their running game they’ve leaned on for 2 decades.
I will always find it comical how we have a group of you that wear the narrative out about how the west is so bad , and yet we never win it. But crazier yet how we should beat this or that team. We haven't. Wisconsin owns us and will again this year .
Equally comical are the posters who call out posters for being homers by reminding everyone how bad we’ve sucked.
The posters bagging on the west are aware of how bad we’ve been. It doesn’t change the fact that the west has not challenged the east.
I do think the west is objectively bad. But we've been worse during the time of its existence and it makes me frustrated that we haven't been able to take advantage. Is what it is I suppose. I probably shouldn't post late at night, lol.
Think the west will probably come down to Wisconsin and Iowa. I'm still holding out slight hope we go a run and find a way to take it though. Unlikely as it is.
Yeah it really sucks that we have played in a terrible division for a decade and have never won it. It just shows how far we have dropped. We have been a terrible football program.

That is the huge issue. NU came to this lame conference and got in the lamest division but instead of winning it 3 out of 4 years...they became horrible like all the other teams in the west.

The big sucks comparatively speaking with other conferences on the field. Thats a fact historically for the last 70 years and it's not even debatable.
