Certainly not excusing Sims but until HH has played in a hostile environment and against a good opponent or two, I will wait on proclaiming him the qb with “it” factor. As for the bad turnover inside his 5, the oline surely gets most of the blame, but we can’t have those kind of mistakes against better teams. The defense played better than great until the scrubs gave up the late 4th quarter TD and showed for the third time we don’t need a lot from the offense except lack of turnovers.
I hated that garbage time TD. I wanted this team to bask in a TD-less game. Idk when the last time NU held an OPP without a TD...

Kemp is the only one that’s been getting some room , we need to start getting separation from our receivers or it isn’t going to matter who the QB is..
I think the WR room is what it is this season. They lack an alpha like Palmer that demands attention from the defense(helping other guys get open).

Maliki Coleman has the real potential to be that player, it’s just a matter of time when that happens..
Malakai Coleman. I hope to see this guy on field here shortly.

I am biased as MC went to my school and is the best athlete since Eric Stokes in 95. Go Spartans and GBR!

Sean Callahan claimed Minnesota was a zoo, too. Certainly not excusing Sims but until HH has played in a hostile environment and against a good opponent or two, I will wait on proclaiming him the qb with “it” factor. Minnesota wasn’t that loud. I was there, open ended stadium. Never seemed excessively loud at all. Large student section in closed end but that was about it.

First ever start after playing 1 quarter 3 years removed from C1 football looking just as good as the 4th year starter he's replacing

DEVELOP HIM AND LET'S WIN SOME F'ING GAMES!

will be a 5th year Sr in Rhules magical Year 3

anyone who disagrees:

I agree. Hopefully Rhule makes the decision to start Haarberg a permanent one.

To be fair we don't have one on the team.
I would agree with this, buy without HH this season, we might only have 2-3 wins right now. While I CERTAINLY agree that there is a need to upgrade that position, I applaud him for bringing an attitude to the team. This group may not be super talented (including the qb), but they are much more mentally tough than we've seen in a while.

The team has followed suit with that. That is the it factor I had been talking about.

I am also 100% all in on Rhule. This is the first time since TO that I'm CONFIDENT a HC is going to get it done here.

I think the biggest issue is that they only have about 10-12 plays that hh can execute and the other teams are catching on
Yep!

Once film gets out things get really hard.

It will be a chess match and the D needs to create a few turnovers.

What other Power 5 program would Haarberg start for?

What Mountain West Conference team would he even start for?

Could care less about calling out old posts.... Rhule really needs to land a good starting qb for next year. Take the rest of the year to try and develop HH as a viable backup next year.
