I fully expect some bs that Saban will use his dark magic to win out and make the playoff. Okay maybe not fully but it wouldn't surprise me necessarily.

Without Georgia, is the SEC even considered to be a Power Five conference anymore?

One loss ? Highly doubt it. If and when he leaves .....Sanders up next ?

SEC has been awful so far this season. 4 losses to the ACC, a loss to the Big 12, and a loss to the Pac 12 already.

Miss St going to overtime against Arizona, Auburn losing to Cal early.

A return to power for Florida St and Miami usually means a weaker SEC

maybe NIL isn’t so bad

Julian Sayin ... QB next year. He reminds me of Bryce Young.
They should always have a really good QB in this era of NIL and transfer portal. Milroe obviously has a ton of talent, but is too raw. Very odd that Saban didn’t go out and get the best transfer in the country.

Agree about Milroe. Plus they have another two or three 4 or 5 stars already on the roster. I expect at least two transfer after this season.

Not over but his coaching tree has copied him and caught up. Bama will always be in the discussion while Saban is there. He's the GOAT.

I wouldn’t bet against it. Funny thing is I guarantee there are already Bama fans calling for his replacement. They’re a pretty spoiled bunch.

Yes, I think we have all seen it coming and my guess is their fan base is starting to realize it as well.

They could end up as a 3-4 loss team this year and my guess is that Nick is a lot closer to retiring than he is extending his contract out.

Then...then they will be in a bad spot because they have no one to replace him. TO had Solich, I know I know it wasn't great BUT Nick doesn't really have that "faithful asst" that has been with him forever.

Dabo makes sense but he is losing his luster a bit. It makes no sense for Smart to go there.

I’ve been saying this for years. Clemson and Alabama will come back to the pack when the Florida school get their sh*t together. Same goes for Texas, USC- it would be nice to have more parity at the top.

Agreed. This Milroe kid is really raw. From what I hear they knew they were scrwed this year coming out of camp.
I couldn't believe they hired Rees. My ND buddy told me Kelly didn't ask him to come to LSU and Freeman wasn't fond of him, either.

Felt like a plan "D" hire for Satan. I can't remember Alabama looking so undisciplined, unprepared and overmatched. They don't have that franchise WR or RB.

Their October Through mid-Nov stretch could easily lead to 2-3 more losses.

The Texas QB that beat them is a soph. Riding the pine in Austin is Arch Manning. Good portal target for us next year as I’m guessing Manning doesn’t want to sit on the bench for 3 years.

Looks like it. No QB, soft defense, weak lines.

At the end of the game last night I said out loud, "There are probably Bama fans that think Saban is washed up and they need to move on from him." Amazes me how quickly people take

Texas looks legit this year, painful to say that, and Bama is starting a young, very athletic, but raw QB. I'd be shocked if they weren't a top 10 team again this year. They were two last minute losses away from being in the Playoffs again last year.

This dynasty is intact until Saban leaves and likely even a couple years after that no matter who they hire.

Alabama was also 3 plays away from being a 5 loss team last year.

NIL and the portal equalized the CFB world against Alabama & Clemson. National Championship used to be their invitational game, but not anymore.

Saban basically has to start over every year with new OC/DC; that takes a toll. So many of his coordinators were able to leapfrog to a good gig that anyone in contention for those spots is also in contention for HC jobs.

Other programs have caught up with Alabama on the physical side. Now it's about individual playmakers. Their QB is subpar by Alabama standards. Texas has an elite QB nationally.

I'd say this year will be similar to the one season they had Blake Sims as the starting quarterback. They won it all the following year with grad transfer Jake Coker starting at quarterback.
