While it would’ve been nice to have won the game, we would still be wondering how many losses laser eyes is give us.

The fans would be happier, otherwise, nothing would change. Both teams would go about preparing for each team the same way and both teams would be just as wary of one another. The loss didn't diminish how scary of a team NU is in my opinion. You were 1 dragged toe from winning. I think everyone realizes that.
Want me to be honest? My wife is Hispanic and I don't like people using **** language calling people Taco, etc. It's one thing to say it on a forum, its a different thing to say it to someone's face.
In the 7th grade my PE teacher called all my Mexican buddies "Taco" and I called him out in front of the whole class.
When I'd run into him at the store in later years, he would exit the aisle, cause I wasn't a 7th grader then.
I would've worked that ******* racist, and he knew it.

Maybe the loss was a wake-up call for coaches. A win and they changed nothing and get exposed by cu. Might still happen but things can be learned from losses.
I don't hear him much anymore but he is not who he was back in the 90's.
He used to just rip on people and it was so funny!
And yeah, he used to tear into "neckcar" and then realized that he could gain tons of listeners by having drivers on his show.
If you believe I am that handle, then you don't pay as much attention to what goes on around here as you profess.

He used to really hype up the NU vs. CU games in the 90's on his radio show. He'd have callers from Omaha and Denver going at each other. That was some of the best stuff on the airwaves.

First of all, I am a boomer, 69 years old. I got after Huskerpro over a slang term such as "Taco" when referring to a man who I know is held in high regard on this form and that is Tuco. It's true tacos originated with the Hispanics, but I know lots of different ethnic groups that enjoy that food. It just pisses me off when people put others in categoriesl
Being the man and contributor he is, I doubt Tuco took it personally, but sometimes that is adoptive thinking over a lot of years.
To backtrack, that ******* PE teacher was a short, fat little prick with a punchable face. He also called all the heavy girls "Bessie" which, if you don't know was the famous cow on the Borden's milk labels. Yet, another way that little prick liked to downgrade people cause he as a powerful LOL, gym teacher.
It is true, I may be a racially sensitive guy, maybe a bit too much for most people. I get that. My wife is Mexican, my kids are bi-racial, my adopted adult son is black, my son in law is black, my daughter in law is Phillipino and my two youngest grandsons are part Caucasian, part Hispanic, and part Phillipino. We are the original Rainbow Coalition. And I love every single one of them equally. I'm a white dude, but they are the people who make my life complete.
When I told my mom I was going to marry my wife, she told me not to marry outside my race, and I told her to **** off because I was marrying the young woman I love, and am still married to 47 years later. My mom's advice, after 4 marriages isn't exactly what you hang your hat on.
The kicker is, that same PE teacher was my son's PE teacher in 8th and 9th grade. Not to brag, because its a fact, and I have proof, my son was 5'9" and 160 as an 8th grader and ran 4.35 electronic 40. At ages 13 and 14 he was the Nebraska and 6 state regional champion in the 100M, 200M, and the shot put. He broke Scott Frost's shot put record which still stands. So he was a real athlete. With natural talent, and the fact i worked with Olympic sprinters for 11 years probably contributed to his success.
When the PE teacher told him he was gonna play football for him, and my son told him "no", the coach asked why and my son told me he wouldn't play for a racist, and who showed a history of not giving other good brown athletes a chance to play. The dude didn't like it and all I ever heard from those who taught with him is that the "spic" thinks he's too good to play for this school. Right.
So, if I come off as a prick when it comes to folks who make insensitive racial remarks, that justs who I've always been.
Sorry for the length. Now, back to Husker football.

This game means everything to me. Kicking their *** is the only reasonable outcome. I think the last time I posted here, some of you dorks told me to find a by new team because I said Mike Riley sucked. This fudging football program has been a damn fire sale, maybe since the old man retired. Once he dies, IDK... We've taken the role of prison B pretty naturally in this BIG BS. They ain't gonna help, us guys. We gotta start kicking teams in the nuts or we're dead. This game is winnable. I wanna at least see a team that's mentally unstable in a good way, because what we have seen has been a damn joke. And I'm never paying to watch this team play probably ever again.
