Good lord, CU is going to smoke us. One coach turned over an entire roster and walked out of a ranked opponent's house with a W. The other coach brought in Adrian Martinez 2.0 and choked away a game they had won in the 4th quarter.

cu will be favored by near double digits. Nebraska's offense will not be able to score at will like cu and tcu did today. And I don't see Nebraska's defense being able to keep it close. Hope I'm wrong but the only thing you can hope for is that cu is so gassed by this game that their energy level will be tapped.

TCU ranking was because of the fact they played in the National championship and in no way am I taking anything away from what Deion and Colorado did today..

I don’t think TCU will be world beaters this year - but I think we are favored by 8.5 - I would be amazed if that doesn’t flip 14 points pretty quick

That's a fair point, and I don't disagree. But you can't argue at this point which hire made the bigger splash so far.

And I hate to be so fatalistic after just one game, but it's hard not to notice how much improvement CU made, while Nebraska lost in the exact same fashion they have been losing close games for the last 4 years.

I wouldn’t be shocked if this game moves all way to a pick’em. Colorado could even be a slight favorite…

This. What I have been trying to say. What our loss on Thursday showed is that we are still a long, long way from being "back". We do not have an offense. Lousy QB, average wideouts and running backs and a pathetic offensive line. Rhule is going to have to build and build. He threw the dice on Sims but came up with nothing. We are going to get smoked in Boulder and folks on here better be ready for it. I see us winning against La Tech, N. Illinois, Purdue and Northwestern. I think we lose all the rest. I just hope that when we do our recruiting does not fall off. Rhule has his work cut out for him. Joel Klatt said last week on his show that the Rhule rebuild at Nebraska was going to take a while since we are woefully lacking in talent on the current roster. I think he nailed it. We are better on defense, no doubt about it. But offense? Sheesh.

So it is a damn good thing Alberts hired a program builder. And anyone who thought (like me) that we were going to be pretty good this year was delusional.

“Program builder” can only prove progress with wins/losses. We won’t have a schedule this easy in years. Losing to CU after getting thoroughly outcoached by Fleck would make this the shortest honeymoon in NU history.😀

trev's marching orders are focused on revenue, not winning

we have truly become a B1G school

I admit. I didn’t want Deion. I don’t like all his horseshit and didn’t really think he’s a good coach, but I was pretty impressed with their offense. I wanted Klieman to be our coach, but I’m hopeful Rhule will turn things around. Oh well, what’s another year or 5 of being a bottom feeder. Time to go golf.

His kid figured to be very good and he is. So like Deion as a coach or not, his kid gave him a huge leg up on us and our blundering qb room.

This is a depressing development. I hope I can stomach watching next week.
Just record and watch individual plays a bit later — and tell family and friends what you are doing so they don’t text you during the game. It reduces 3+ hours of pain to 30 minutes. I have done this for most of the Frost games and the second half yesterday. This offense will give you a massive headache if you watch every play live

2AM would have won that game.
