Not sure if it was this board but I think some of the negative flack towards our wr coach came from boards. And Rhule addressed that.
How else are they gonna know how to fix the team. This place has all the answers.
Exactly because instead of focusing on that people are forgetting all the rz penalties.
You get in front of the discussion. PR is important for coaches and ADs for that matter. If you hide in your office and either don’t address questions or attack the fans opinions things go south.

I don't know how you can call them a JV team . They have beaten us 5 times in a row now ? We are the JV team....at best. Records speak for themselves.
The Paterno comments didn’t sit well with me. There are a lot of PSU alums and fans who still don’t believe Joe knew the extent of Sandusky’s actions. You’re younger than me but I can tell you that Joe’s generation largely looked the other way at child abuse. The priests weren’t the only ones abusing kids. It’s been going on for centuries and it’s really only been fairly recently that people have gotten appropriately upset about it.
IMO Rhule was tone deaf in his comments about Paterno. He knew Paterno as a father figure and apparently is in denial of his huge flaws.
I brushed these comments away during the Rhule aid fest this offseason, choosing instead to focus on what he had to say about this year's squad & our proud state and my alma mater

1. Agree it was a false start. I was yelling at the TV when it happened as a no call.
2. Yes, the refs are an external factor. If you can’t control it, it’s an external factor.
3. As a former college athlete and entrepreneur I learned a long time ago you never leave the outcome in the hands of the ref/judge/boss etc. you perform at a level that ensures the desired outcome regardless of external factors.
No doubt, Rhule is a double agent. He’s an obvious Penn State shill he’ll bent on Nebraska’s demise. No other explanation for his betrayal of Kong.
