So good. I’m so ready for 8.31.

Loved comments on getting Nebraska to play physical again. One coach talked about it, one coach is doing something about it.

Also appreciated his thoughts on the rebuild time taking a shorter time due to the seniors owning it with their experience.

Same. He maybe went out on a limb that he didn't need to in making that comment, but I appreciate it so much more that the "wait till we get OUR guys in here" attitude.

These players want to win NOW.

Agree - I’m sure he and Trev had a conversation (probably didn’t need to) but Rhule has been all-in on ownership and these being his guys - “They didn’t pick me, but I picked them”. It’s refreshing ownership and something I hope Frost will learn if he ever gets back in the game.

I mentioned that Trev would help/give talking points to Rhule when he was hired and a few posters lost their ******* mind.

Trev just hired a guy that he is going to be tied to forever...you think he hired him and didn't give him some help and advice on stuff?

Some posters are nuts

Yeah of course he is highly invested in Rhule. At Nebraska if you make a bad football hire you are fired. Steve Pederson, Shawn Eichhorst and even Moos to a certain degree show this(sorry, I don't buy his sudden retirement was 100% his choice). Trev Alberts legacy as Nebraska AD is completely tied to how good of a coach Rhule is.

I love Matt Rhule.
I don't know the level of success he'll have, but I know he'll have success. The era of losing seasons are over. We will at least get back to Pelini level which is important for the program. Much rather have people mad about 9-4 in a few years than the garbage we have seen the last 6.

I would be more than happy with that. It also helps that he's not Bo Pelini.

I’m really trying NOT to drink the Kool-aid/Rhule-aid. But this dude has said and from where I sit done everything right from day one. It’s difficult not to get completely bought in. I still want results, but at first glance this guy get it and seems to understand Nebraska more than any other before him since Solich. Everything he said about Nebraska and Nebraska Football was spot on. If he does in season what he says off season then we have some good days ahead of us.

I have to admit, I was shocked that Cowherd shined light on our program today. He has been mostly radio silent on Nebraska (for good reason - we’ve been a losing team for 6 years), but make no mistake about it - this was all Matt Rhule in the spotlight. I know we haven’t won a game yet but this was a publicity step forward.

Can't hurt to have cowherd covering you even if you don't like him. He has fans....mostly 35 and under imo.

Rhule is a very intelligent guy with tremendous communication skills. THAT is one of the key traits you need to be successful. I expect him to be as successful as any coach we could hire could be. In today’s game and the B1G I don’t know if that’s regularly 8 wins or 10 wins.

Not true he talks about Nebraska a lot for how bad we have been. It's mostly negative about how we can't win cause of recruiting and such. He has talked about how good we used to be though. Honestly though if u watch herd for his college football takes ur crazy. Man just wants big schools to be good and is rooting for the downfall of the sport as we know it. And this is coming from someone who tunes in to him regularly.

I am not a fan of his but he is a pro...Just like Rome (who I don't listen to anymore just because of the time but I loved him), dude can rip on and make fun of people but when he has a guest on that is tied to that community, he is a total pro and falls in love with them.

Haha he was actually complimenting them. Full quote...

“I’ll be honest with you, I’ve followed it from afar, you know, because they do such a good job of filming everything. I think it’s good for football right now. College football can’t just be in the southeast and a couple of schools in the north. It’s got to be what Lincoln is doing at USC, what coach Sanders is doing in Colorado, hopefully what we’re doing in the middle of the country. This has to be a nationwide thing. You can tell that Deion and his staff, they’re going to recruit relentlessly and they’re gonna have their team ready to play. It’ll be a great, great game. To think that Nebraska vs. Colorado is relevant again, will be on national TV, I think that’s pretty cool for the game.”

Not sure we can throw stones about filming when we literally have our own camp reality show. Some of you try way too hard when it comes to Deion.

Coward is a weird *** dude, out of touch celebrity. Good interview by Rhule though. Early on it looked like Rhule just wanted to roll his eyes.

Thought the same thing. Rhule gets it though. Any positive pub is great and much needed for the program. He has been damn near flawless in every interview I've seen with him.

Yeah, " A Look N" is the same as the walking documentary Deion is filming.

I don't think we know for sure anything is being done about it until we see it in a game. Been lots of empty promises around this program for 20 years.
