Improvement week to week. Consistency. No boneheaded turnovers and penalties. Tough, physical play. Win the 4th QTR. Build off that. GBR!!

I'm hoping for 6-6. If we don't go 2-0 to begin the season I'm doubtful we can even achieve that. It'll be interesting.

I’m optimistic. We go 8-4 with losses to Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois and Maryland (because I will be at that game and I’m bad luck). We sneak one out with Wisconsin and pound Iowa in the finale

8-4 - we’ve had talent to win 7+ games this time we actually do it. We are going to surprise some folks!

I'm going with 7-5. For me, if we don't win 6 games and go to a bowl, the season is a failure. Rhule was given a top 10 coaching salary, he needs to produce results.

8-4

Losses to Minnesota, Michigan, Maryland and Wisconsin. And I think other than Michigan those other games are winnable. I just know we don’t have the depth and chemistry to go 11-1 so we’re going to stumble in a few games.

Anything less than 6-6 will be highly disappointing. We have the talent to be 8-4 with this schedule if Rhule is actually anything like what we think he is.

Their prediction for Wisconsin is ridiculous.

Their new Air Raid Offense is going to be just as fun to watch as much as our West Coast Offense was. 😄 I still can't believe they are getting away from what has made them successful for decades.

I’m at 7-5 also. Sims stays mostly healthy. Offensive line is marginally improved. We’ll beat the lesser teams by multiple touchdowns like we should for once. We’ll look better and people will be pleased. 9 or 10 wins coming the season after.

I mean, these are predictions, right? Not actual wagers you are placing.

How can you predict anything less than 9 wins. There will only be one game where NU is a double digit dog.

If Nebraska can win the first two road games there‘s a good chance this team could be 8-4 providing Sims stays healthy..

I can say the same thing about Ioway if McNamara goes down they won’t finish 9-3..

I'm close to you. I'm going with a win over Minnesota and the same other three losses you mention. 9-3. Watch out for Maryland

They are literally taking our path to destruction… Barry kept that program flying high but those days are over

Rhule > Fickell

I agree with you but i'm a homer...HOWEVER... between those two coaches, one failed at his old stop and I think his team got better when he left??? ...and one did so well he could have had a lot of different jobs. So I get the love for Fickell. Wisky a top program for me to watch as far as interesting story lines go this season...(I would not trade coaches FYI..just pointing out one of the reasons media is high on Wisky)

True.. but Fickell coached one season in a big boy league and took a team with undefeated talent & went .500.

I'm very skeptical about Wisconsin's win total this year. Some people think the football program will just thrive in the new offense without any problems. You go from a team that has had success using a power running system to an Air Raid system and think the transition will just go off without a hitch, I don't see it.

I think the optimism has more to do with the new head coach and who he is and his previous school vs the new system. Yes Fickell is a very good coach but there is more to it in my opinion, it's not easy to gut an offensive system and input a totally new one.

Fickell went 6-6 as Ohio States Interim HC in 2011 after Jim Tressel was fired and Fickell went 4-8 his first year 2017 at Cincinnati. Now maybe the Baggers will shock the BIG 10 this year and the new offense will go off without a hitch, just count me as skeptical about this in year one.

I think the same can be said of Matt Rhule at Nebraska but I think some of the prognosticator's are a bit off with Nebraska's record to thinking only 4 or 5 wins at best. I could see 6 or 7 wins based off of who they play.

Are you saying that Baylor or temple got better when Rhule left?

Fickell also went 6-7 at Ohio State.. Smacked in the middle of a 12-1 finish the year before and a 12-0 finish the following..

Guessing he’s gotten better since his first ever year of head coaching amid what was then a huge and very public scandal

We’ll see

If we run the ball well, that means our line improved, so I’ll say 7-6. I do think we need to go 2-0 or 1-1 to start the year for this to happen.

If we don’t run the ball well, 5-7.

Who ****** knows. I'm going to go 8-4, but this schedule just doesn't seem daunting to me. We were a bad team last year and still were in basically every game. Coaching and Special teams should probably win us at least 2 more games. I'm still jaded because of how bad NU has sucked over the years, but outside of Michigan you should have a chance in every game. My opinion of how difficult the game is

Michigan - Only probable guaranteed loss

Illinois - Solid team with Bielema, but the loss of Walters may hurt. Not scary on O.

Wisconsin - Who knows, but they seem to be getting way too much love after being super mediocre last year

Iowa - Same Iowa team. Stop the run and should be in position for another win

Minnesota - Beats up on teams they should and loses to better coached teams and better rosters.

Maryland - Locksley is not a good game coach. The QB will probably be hurt and they will be in disarray after a great start

Michigan St. - Toss up, but they seem to be fading. Nothing scary here

Purdue - Graham Harrell is overrated and they lose too much. You should beat this team

Colorado - They ain't Louis

N. Ill - Handle the team you should

La. Tech - Ditto

NW - You can't ****** lose to this team
