watch what actually happened.

I don't care about everyone's feelings and I stand by my belief that everyone on our staff agrees with his sentiment, which is beyond obvious
Do the thread. You ever think its possible you're full of **** on this issue?

TO used to turn his back when his big boys really went at it at practice, then about 30 seconds later would turn around and say, "Hey, knock it off you guys."

He knew it was a way to fire up the troops, but don't think for a second Osborne would have told even one other person to jump in regardless of who was getting his *** kicked.

Mackovicka ended DeAngelo Evan's career by hurting Evans back after throwing that prick over the benches in the locker room.

Can we all agree that those big-*** helmet cushions make the whole squad look like peewee football players?🤨

A better coaching move would be to teach the big white OL 68 to not be a douche nozzle and start a fight with the smaller DB after the RB had already crossed the goal line.

What happens in a real game is that there is a 15 yard penalty for a late hit, potentially another 15 yarder for unsportsmanlike (fighting), maybe an ejection, and you just gave the opposing team an opportunity to receive a kickoff 15-30 back. But hey, one fight we all fight sounds so much tougher
At least they will walk away with the knowledge that they have street cred

What were the 2 players supposed to do? Turn around and watch? Walk over and shove people?

More attention and drama by Deion.

I'll give him credit though. CU hasn't got this much attention in many years, if ever.

The only. clowns are the ones openly saying they wouldn't have their teammates back.
Everyone has that one friend that spouts out some bs and gets into a fight … I wouldn’t have that friend/teammate’s back. On the buffs - I bet the ratio is 60% dumbasses and 40% have their back.

The problem with your side of this discussion is that he was yelling at his offensive players. An offensive guy was the instigator in the "brawl" or in this case a shoving match. Most teammates, when they score, are going to be celebrating the TD or getting back to the sideline. Not very many are going to be looking back at some fucktard OL who decided to start a pushing match with a DB. There were plenty of defensive guys there, and most of them were pulling their teammates away from the scrum, not escalating the ridiculous fight.

I stand by the point that in a game this is potentially 30 yards worth of penalties and creates a situation where you are kicking off from the 10 yard line and potentially giving the opponent the short field, after you scored a TD.

Meh, I'm not seeing the problem with what he said. Fights happen in football. Often times in practice. You should back your teammates when they do. Maybe it's because I've actually played football, which some of you clearly haven't. Or maybe it's because I don't have Deion insecurities, which some of you clearly do. But seems like a pretty lame thing to get your panties all wadded up about. If I were picking nits, it would be that sCUm has some pussies on their team who won't even back their own teammates in a fight.
If the guys don’t intrinsically know when and who to back up in a fight, it’s beyond the pale by the time the coach has to tell them.

I swear, half the **** this goofball says is because he knows it’ll get publicity. Stack up the wins Deion and you’ll get your respect.

Zac Taylor today on the McAfee Show:

"we preach that fighting is a penalty during games, but we understand it's camp and guys want to get it out of their system.

We practiced with the Packers and had two fights. The guys took care of each other and we had two great practices."

...

"we might not have had any fights my first two years here, so it might be a good thing that we've gotten in a few, last year with the Rams and this year with the Packers."

grow up, folks. I very much hope our camp hasn't been without a scuffle or 3.
Key note here, he’s talking about fighting other teams am I right?

Fighting in a football game, because of what someone said or because you got pushed, or punched wearing a helmet, or whatever is as soft as it gets. Sad how many don’t know what toughness really is.

Once you wake up from getting hit in the back of the head. We will tell you about how it happened..lol
It’s stupid. Two guys fight with their helmets on and a bunch of guys push each other and maintain space. This ain’t a hockey free-for-all where you are inflicting actual damage.

Yeah so if your teammates get jumped you are just going to stand there and say .....hey stop it guys...lol

Your entire team would ostracize you and bully you the rest of the year and rightfully so. You cant be trusted.
Yeah if my teammate is jumped by the other team hell yeah let’s rumble,! But I feel like i don’t need teammates fighting each other, they needed leadership not instigation.

Stupid or not you ALWAYS have your teammate's back or you are dealing with issues all season long as a coach.

Yeah, I watched it a couple times. The point is: You don't fight teammates or opponents. Tom allowed 2 guys to really get after it. You don't think Cognito got into it about 5 times a week? They didn't make it a photo op to build culture, the culture already existed.

You can't fake culture, either you have it or you don't. It's not an overnight thing.

Sanders should have been talking about this **** Day 1 since he came in and told them HOW it was gonna be. Dudes been flapping his jaws non-stop since he got there, now it appears he forgot a big element to building a team.

Maybe he's afraid he has a team of quitters that are all "I " guys?

Why wait until 2 weeks before the season opener? Because, they're gonna get their *** whipped by TCU with their present culture.

He's just building up reasons for when he gets ready to bail in a year or so.

Slant?

He literally told his team to fight in an inter squad scrimmage and then posted it on social media. Pretending it is anything else is just attempting to spin and being dishonest, because of who the coach happens to be.
Headcard gets it. The prime show is all fraud.

We’re not talking about the same thing. It’s not really fighting. He just said that for effect. It’s a bunch of roosters trying to push each other’s helmets off.

If you start fighting in a retaliatory fashion, you get penalties, it costs you and you lose games

What he probably meant is that they’re a bunch of soft candy asses I suspect quite a few of his players see through his BS

I agree with all this (obviously), and bolded the fine point.

"fight your teammates" is just not what he said, which is plain as day obvious.

Yes, yes, please give more penalties yardage to me because my dipshit teammate lost his cool. Makes sense
You won't remember this, but scarlet will. Derrie Nelson cost Nebraska against Oklahoma by making a bone *** move which proved to cost NU the game. I think it was nothing more than a really late hit, not even a fight.

One in junior college then the other at TCU before the game against La Tech.

Any other questionss? Either you guys are major pusses or have never played a day in adult team sports.
You need to zip it. The adults are talking
