I was saying this all along, but if Tagaloa, Farmer, Fleeks, and Hood are gone then we can actually keep Bleekrode for the season. Still don’t need him though

From the open media portion of practice it was observed that Sims and Haarberg got the majority of QB reps.

Bleekrode was 3-3 from 50 + yards today. Just saying. Alvano is certainly the future. He was 2-3 with a doink off the upright.

My confidence in Bleekrode to make a clutch kick in an actual game over 35 yards is about 8%

In contrast, when Henery was our kicker I thought he’d hit anything up to 50 yards at a 99% clip

I don’t know if Alvano is good but having two kickers on scholly who are both unproven would be silly to me. Many P5 teams don’t even have 1 kicker on ship

The best teams all have scholarship kickers. 2 is not ideal but in year 1 the way Rhule operates he is not running anyone off. It will work itself out.

Agreed. Only a turd would have an open competition in fall camp with the winner starting and the loser being cut from the team. If that takes place at all, it would be in the spring. Anyone who tries to get people to perform at a high level wouldn't treat kids that way.

Plus, in today's NIL world keeping 2 good kickers is much easier.
