You also fail to mention that the extra conference game could just as likely be against one of the better teams in the conference like Ohio State, Michigan, or Penn State.
I see one team playing all 3 of those in '24/'25 (maryland in '25)
two teams play all 3 of the abhorrent historical bottom feeders (UCLA in '24, purdue in '25)
I'd also call it a stretch to include penn st (22-13 record over the past 3 years)
By B1G standards, Penn State is certainly one of the better teams in the conference.

This guy here is my pick for the guy who will quickly rise to the top and show he belongs. To me, he seems to have a Steve Smith thing going on. That is a good thing. Just don't punch some dude in a game. Maybe a teammate who needs some attitude adjustment though.
I hope the off season conditioning and workouts are intense like years (decades) ago, the physicality of this years team needs to be a big cut above what we saw in the not so distant past.
