It's the off-season so why not?

Who is your least favorite position coach post-Solich?
Same period, who is your least favorite coordinator?
I'm going with Verduzco although Austin can make a case. Who ya got?

I thought Banker might be my least favorite coordinator but Whipple is in a class by himself.

I actually couldn’t stand Keith Williams, I get he produced, just didn’t like his demeanor, I believe the hoodrats call it “swag”

I couldn’t stand Elmassian. Funny because he ended up loving NU.

Also… screw the Papoochis was a guy I couldn’t stand

Ooohhh, forgot about him. Massively overpaid fraud.
2016 .Maryland they were bad . Ryker Fyfe was our QB Tommy was out.it was like 20-0 in the 3rd quarter Maryland had like 100 yds of offense. They had a 4th and like 8 from midfield ran a successful fake punt.I honestly think Reed was the only one in the stadium that didn’t know they would try it.

Oline coach Cavanaugh is a solid candidate. I still remember him riding off into the sunset in his pickup truck being all pissy.

I know it’s a little OT . But an improvement position. I think Duval did a lot of damage on players in the S&C.

And was his training regimen his idea (probably) or was he told what to do? Either way, disasterous.

For a while there we had a revolving door of DB coaches, none of whom seemed to care much about coaching at Nebraska. I'll choose one of those forgettable names.

Worst coordinator? Probably Diacomo, but the apathy of Crosgrove deserves mention.

Did he actually produce? I kind of thought the guy was pretty overrated. Big talk and big hype. Yeah, I get it. He trains some NFL dudes.

Diaco was the worst but Carl given his destructive antics wasn’t far behind. Verdusco just seemed to confuse his QBs.

Yeah, he went after all the 5 stars but I don't remember many players he recruited actually producing. Was JD his recruit?

I think you're right about Spielman. Several WR's had good production in 2015/2016 (Westerkemp, Reilly, Moore, Morgan, Pierson-El). Does he get credit for that? (Honest question)

Hands down for me, Whipple. He would rather pass on 2nd and 2 than run which usually got us a sack or penalty that killed the drive. The rumors of him butting heads with Riola on blocking schemes gives me hope that our line is a strength this year, especially with new S&C.

Too many coaches. I can't even remember if Williams was our WR coach that year. I suppose he does if he was coach that year.

This thread made me realize how NU has truly been wandering in the desert since TO. What a momumental series of bad staffing choices.

Until I read this thread I had completely blocked out how many complete shitbags we have had coach here in the last 20 years. Here is my list in no particular order:

Banker
Whipple
Diaco
Cavanaugh
Donte Williams
Scott Frost (he was calling the plays, therefore defaults as an OC)
Coz
Hank Hughes

If I could include someone who pretended he was a position coach and walked up and down the sidelines with headphones on that weren’t activated to perpetuate this fairy tale then I nominate Jeff Jamrog

See, I thought Carl the Wife Beater was a good DC when he was clean.
Phil Elmassian was the first name that popped in my head. Second, speaking of wife beater, who was the Douche-Nozzle (Dline Coach, I think) Bo’s last year? He came from Iowa, played at Notre Dame?

Kazinski or something like that.
