It seems obvious that Rhule knows what he’s doing in evaluating talent. It isn’t just his recruits’ talent, it’s also their work ethic and love of the game.
I think that’s where Frost Failed. Everyone can look at the recruiting stars and make offers off that. Every 4 Star doesn’t end up at a P5 or a name school and some of that has to do with work ethic and the true love of football.
He and his staff seem to have been able to sell a vision to the kids they really go after..
When you're doing a "realistic" evaluation with a potential recruit and can have them envision how they fit on this team, what they may be cabable of attaining, and projecting them as future players at the University level and perhaps beyond.
Their message seems to not contain a lot of ******** promises. That's a powerful message to a lot of kids.

A part of this also is that Rhule and his staff have "their guys" who coach down there and will get them directed to the right kids, even kids who may not be getting as much notice yet. Be it high school coaches, administrators, amateur talent scouts, whomever. I'm sure a big part of it is their talent evaluation but getting in on the right kids is huge for this program. Another factor which the previous three staffs didn't do well is getting steered away from the wrong kids!
Agreed. Another side to this is the whole "we gotta recruit nationally" argument. It's not always a good investment in time to try to cover everything instead of doing your due diligence with some recruiting regions that you know well.
