Westminster Maryland? I know that area well and it is semi rural - pretty far from Baltimore ...Guess Sam likes country living.

I used to spend some time in Taneytown in a previous life. Not much out that area. It’s pretty, but Sam had a commute on him.

Spent a lot of time in Frederick - I went there once a week for seven years due to work when I was in DC. DC to Frederick and places like Westminster is like night and day in less than one hour although Frederick is getting a little "toney".

What would you expect from a kid from Seward , probably wanted the keep his Family out of the Zoo a big city is. It looks like a 40 minute drive or so. It’s not like Sam was commuting in rush hour traffic daily.

Everything I've heard about Baltimore and the schools I wouldn't wanna live there or raise a kid there either. Private school education needed.

You should see some of the names I have in class. Everyone has to be soooooo unique.
But Im guessing you know how its a thing for kids these days to rip our names like Chad and Keith and Justin Brad and Rick and Zach and Brian. I think Chad has been dubbed the worst name of all time by the youth today.

So much better than everyone named John, Steve, Karen, Jennifer, etc. I can imagine the Emils, Berthas, Lloyds, Agathas all thought the baby boomer names were foofy…. Change is scary…. I can just imagine the first Otto or Emil meeting the first Scott or Tom and them going, WTF….

I have a 90 year old German neighbor named Adolf. That name became very unpopular in the 1940s for some reason. 😒

He's at Winters Mill HS in Westminster. My wife went to Westminster HS. Just interesting to see that Sam landed just up the road from Baltimore. The Ravens trained at McDaniel College in Westminster, so he must have loved it. My wife's family is just up the road in Taneytown.

We need to bring back names like Hattie, Eunice, Prudence, Beatrice, Pearl, Bernice, Ethel, Edna, Mildred, Otis Cecil, Emmet, Earl, Chester, Lemuel, Ambrose, DeWitt, and so forth. You know, back before us Boomers ruined everything.

Makes you wonder if this was his dream school if he'd have taken a PWO offer? If he's a legit dude I don't have a problem with him being on scholarship at all. I think his dad did well enough the tuition would not be a dealbreaker. Regardless, glad to have him onboard. Hopefully this locks up our specialist for the next 4-5 years and we can get some stability and consistent production out of those two positions.

Once took a train from Washington D.C
to NYC. Going through Baltimore was like a different planet. Rowhouses as far as the eye could see. Nothing more than a warehouse for humanity. The opposite of charming.

I saw a Gen Z running around the store today with a mask on, big headphones and glasses. The kid is entirely shielded from the outside world. Their opinions carry zero weight with me. the millennials have handed them the crown as America’s weakest generation

I’m in Berkeley CA today and I’m stunned at the number of people masking outdoors. I’ve seen whole families masked🙄

I had 5 other people on my dorm floor named Steve, I learned to ignore my own name.
