Sorry to hear that, wish I could help. I would imagine anything involving the stomach is a great big life altering pain.Any of you ever had one?
I do. Thought I cured it using meds. Think it’s back. People that I’ve talked to that have had them say they take a while to go.
They suck. Mess with my sleep.
I’m still blessed. It’s just nice to hear what others have experienced and advice is much appreciated (beyond google searches tailored by big pharma)Sorry to hear that, wish I could help. I would imagine anything involving the stomach is a great big life altering pain.
I might have had one a little while back, didn't get it diagnosed. Prilosec for 14 days.I’m still blessed. It’s just nice to hear what others have experienced and advice is much appreciated (beyond google searches tailored by big pharma)
No aspirin or NSAIDS (ibuprofen, Motrin, etc…). No alcohol. Prilosec for at least 2 weeks (usually longer). If doesn’t go away with conservative measures may need a H Pylori test at your clinic. Red flag signs are weight loss, black stools, nausea.Any of you ever had one?

Ibuprofen gave me the damn thing. No H pylori. Lost weight because it wasn’t diagnosed and food hurt (just lost my father too). I’m back to 75% but it’s nagging a little. No aspirin or NSAIDS (ibuprofen, Motrin, etc…). No alcohol. Prilosec for at least 2 weeks (usually longer). That was quick. Maybe just gastritis. Usually, from what doctors told me, peptic ulcers take a while to heal.I might have had one a little while back, didn't get it diagnosed. Prilosec for 14 days.
edit: And if after the 14 days you aren't feeling much better, you can safely continue on it for another couple weeks.

I’m starting to take two famotidine a day. The PPI were not friendly with me. Gave me extremely dry mouth at night and mental fog as well as stomach issues. Instantly got better when I stopped them.
I really liked carafate. Trying to get doc to write a script for that again
Don’t drink
Eat very healthy
Don’t drink coffee (sucks because I love it but is a bad trigger)
Exercise daily
I use that a few times a day. Local honey is great too.have had some issues with acid reflux, watched a vid from dr berg that talked about the stomach not being acidic enough and to drink a mixture of apple cider vinegar with water. That has worked way way better than taking any of those tums tablets or other acid reflux meds that only make things worse.
not sure it would help with an ulcer, but it's something you can look into further
recommend a stomach-ectomy if it doesn't get better. I'll do any surgery for $200...Ibuprofen gave me the damn thing. No H pylori. Lost weight because it wasn’t diagnosed and food hurt (just lost my father too). I’m back to 75% but it’s nagging a little.

Let’s call it a lame attempt at humor, but also a veiled Simpson’s reference. What is that??
Was scoped. Found duodenal ulcer. This was in March.Let’s call it a lame attempt at humor, but also a veiled Simpson’s reference.
Seriously tho, could be just gastritis. Acid problem. If you’re serious about having diagnosis and treatment, go see a gastroenterologist. See the guy who deals with it every day, probably start with an EGD (upper scope, look @ your stomach).
If you want to dispense with the worthless big Pharma crap, you can get some dehydrated raw cabbage powder at a health foods store. Its main ingredient is glutamine and is far superior and more effective than any antacid. Was scoped. Found duodenal ulcer. This was in March.
Will the raw powder work with ulcers and gastritis ?If you want to dispense with the worthless big Pharma crap, you can get some dehydrated raw cabbage powder at a health foods store. Its main ingredient is glutamine and is far superior and more effective than any antacid.
Even drinking cabbage juice has shown to be highly effective as it strengthens the stomach wall and makes it very difficult for acid to attack.
It has been known since the 1950's that drinking up to a quart of cabbage juice a day will cure both gastric and duodenal ulcers, and has cured them in anywhere from 2 to 5 days.
FWIW.
Just ordered some. We tried juicing cabbage a while back and what a mess
are you able to smoke weed? Try thatJust ordered some. We tried juicing cabbage a while back and what a mess

You can combine a PPI and an H2 inhibitor such as Prilosec and Nexium for 14 days. If that doesn’t help, see your physician and see about an antibiotic for H-Pylori. Also, see your Physician about it anyways..I might have had one a little while back, didn't get it diagnosed. Prilosec for 14 days.

c30, first of all, I'm just a layperson whose anti-big Pharma. Any alternative to the big Pharma products that has been proven for over 70 years seems like a very good alternative, certainly worthy of trying.Dosing instructions? How many times per day?
Awesome post. Root cause medicine should be what doctors practice however they’re just pill pushers in most instances.c30, first of all, I'm just a layperson whose anti-big Pharma. You take a pill and it lessens the pain, then you just keep taking that/those same pill(s) everytime the affliction hits you again seems like a waste of money and time, with no cure in sight since it never addresses the root cause of the issue. All the while, that underlying conditioning, in theory, gets harder and harder to treat and more resistant to those pills.
Since the 1950's its has been known and PROVEN, in legitimate studies, that cabbage will cure all types of ulcers. As far as the "dosage" I don't have, and am not qualified to tell you what amount that may be. Each of us are different with different levels of pain, pain tolerance, body size, age, diet, exercise, etc.
Even as far back as the days of Christopher Columbus, ships were taking huge barrels of cabbage as a daily food. It eliminated a ton of physical, health issues that were likely to crop up on those sometimes months-long sea journeys.
I do know that the raw cabbabe powder will yield much greater results than any stinking pill(s). You take the pill, it alleviates the pain, then you're right back doing the same thing again and again because it never addresses the real cause.
Depending on your tolerance to the taste of the raw cabbabe powder you can definitely use it in portions in a soup that you like and that blends in the flavor and makes it more palatable.
Unrelated: It's like folks who are always plagued by toe fungus.
You can buy the expensive and less effective big Pharma crap, or you can take a couple drops of Peppermint Essential Oil along with a carrier oil, dab it on with a Q tip, and in one day the fungus is gone. You can repeat that a couple times until the Peppermint Essential Oil kills the fungal base and then you have some pretty looking toenails again. FYI
There are thousands of homeopathic treatments for all types of things that people love to waste money on by relying
on over-the-counter and prescription ripoffs. I'm not dispensing any medical advice, since I'm just an ordinary Joe, I just know what works.
For you sake, I hope it helps alleviate the pain. I've never had stomach issues, it could be because of genetics or it could be that I've always incorporated cabbage as a staple. Eating cabbage, as infrequently as 1 time a week has shown to reduce the possibility of colon cancer by 66%.Awesome post. Root cause medicine should be what doctors practice however they’re just pill pushers in most instances.
I’m currently taking an H2 to help my stomach heal. But will only be on it temporarily. I’ll be trying the cabbage powder too. It could just be gastritis too.
I'll give you a like on the honey and ac vinegar with mother, but not the ibupropen.I use local honey and apple cider vinegar with mother every day too. Works better than tums.
