That leads me to believe one of the current TEs is retiring.
We can’t be carrying 7+ TEs on scholly, so I bet 1-2 current TEs have retired. Just thinking aloud
Nebraska produces a lot of kids with a TE body type. I personally like taking a lot of these kids because they can usually end up at a different position. So I think that is a good strategy by Rhule so far.
Rollins moved to DE and Carnie left I believe. That would leave Fidone, Gilbert, Boerkircher. I think the kid from MN is still here. Can't remember who else.
Great. When he flips to Nebraska we're going to have to hear all the complaining from Narduzzi.
You have to remember all 3 guys we are talking about Carter Nelson , Flynt. And this kid are 24 kids, a lot can happen within a year,and they may have plans for some at other positions.
Maybe not all of them are going actually be TEs. Could be some position switching involved.
The 3 incoming kids will all be TEs. We’re going to be using TEs a lot more than we have in the past IMO. . I could see a guy like Nelson flexed out with a true blocking TE on the field at the same time. Then you add the H back dimension. Who knows if Fidone will stay healthy. I could even see a set with 3 TEs on the field in short yardage situations.
We really need Fidone to stay healthy and produce this year.
