This interview is so hard to watch.

Having Sam's face in the background and his nervous facial expressions after each question is also very interesting

Those Mike Riley years were so far from what we deserve as a fan base

You really don't need to write "cringe" when discussing an interview with Diaco. It's implied.

Guy speaks in misquoted clichés. Reminds me of a Ted Bundy. Someone needs to keep an eye on this guy.

So happy we have a professional in charge now

Could you have expected anything better from a man that should have been doing softcore porn (that garbage was terrible for obvious reasons but especially for frequently zooming in on man a$$ and not the good stuff) and shat out the "Civil Conflict"?

People gushed over handsome Bob when he got here. Banker didn't deserve to get fired, think we would have faired a lot better with him in 17.

Diaco's hiring/Banker''s firing came out of left field. Riley fired his longtime friend over the phone and hired a 3-4 defensive coordinator when we didn't have the personnel to run it. While not great, the defense in 2015 and 2016 was the least of Riley's issues.

I'm probably misremembering, but didn't reichwhorst 'force' that move?

Bob didnt sound as bad here as in some interviews. I legitimately think he has some mental issues, and I am not saying that to be mean. Not like mass murderer but he’s not 100%.

Only an administrator at an institution of "higher" learning could listen to that guy's gobbledy-gook, think he has any idea what he is talking about, and give him a job.

He looks a bit like Neidermeyer from Animal House:

Eichorst was a moron for forcing that on Riley. Riley should have pulled a Frank and told him to get screwed.

Revisionist history, but if Banker remains as defensive coordinator, how much longer does Riley stay? The Frost era may not happen at all. Banker wasn't great, but he wasn't horrible. Riley probably wins enough to keep his job at least into year 4.

we would definitely be in a different spot today

**** Additionally Eichorst was pumping sunshine about Diaco being the best coach on campus and others should go learn from him. Including John Cook. We are probably lucky Cook didn't just say eff it and bail on that dumb ****

IMwO w(worthless) Riley would have at a minimum been bowl eligible if Eichorst hadn’t forced him to replace Banker. Riley is a good guy and a good football mind. I don’t think his style of management probably works very well with college players though. I loved listening to Riley and Banker talk football. We are where we are now. Rhule and Frank have healed the wounds. The curse is over.
