Recap. No timeline for commitment. Next decision will be final one. Training right now. Dom and his family loves Nebraska. Top 3 are still, GA, USC and NU. No particular order. IMO.

mentions that they went to Georgia 6 or 7 times and Nebraska a couple. I wanted to read into that, but it didn't seem to divulge too much info.

After hearing his comments on Nebraska I'm thinking the sentiment that it's a courtesy to his history, his family, and Dylan being a fan when he was younger are true. My money is on UGA.

At this point it is what it is and although it would be monumental if he comes here, I think we should only get players that really want more than NIL and want to build a legacy turning this program around.

The comment that it's "Somewhere you want to be in February" after football seems like a little hint to Southern California.

imo he’s just giving nebraska a little pub for his uncle and Dad, he’s never really considered us seriously. Hopefully I’m wrong

I sort of think that he is looking for reasons to pick NU...he is trying to find them. He has reasons to pick UGA and USC.

Would opine that going after ‘players more concerned with legacy than money’ is a contributing factor to the state of our program currently. Other (more successful) teams have been paying players for some time now, lol. There’s a good reason we’ve been missing elite talent…

Yeah you definitely have a point there. But with the transfer portal being the wild west things have changed.

It would sting if he chose USC, but no more than it would've if he'd stuck with OSU. IMO, he's playing it close to the vest and staying considerate to all programs who are in the running. As a casual fan with no connections to RecruitingAnalystNational, I put our chances at 35% tops at present.
Think about where NU has been for 20 years. That 35% is damn good, and our coaches are doing all that they can, including but not limited to ping pong matches. To anyone who says NU is being played, that's ridiculous. If this kid makes a decision that's not NU, I'm sure that he'll be forthright and respectful in communication with the coaches. Please think about it: Midwest program in rebuild mode with five year record of like 2-58 has up to 35% chance of landing nation's top recruit. We got to this point, and it feels pretty good to me.

I’m confused, I thought there were only 3 teams (Georgia, USC, and Neb.) still in the running for him. Who is this fourth team from the Midwest with a 2-58 five year record? I thought our five year run sucked, this other Midwest team must be utter dog **** with a record like that.

I'm just hoping if he doesn't come here, that he goes to Georgia. I don't want to have to face him all the time if he goes to USC!

Just pick already. I think we are in last place here. Let’s move on and make him regret it. HH has four years left anyway!

Disagree 100%. What purpose is there in “playing” Nebraska and his uncle? How sick do you have to be to do that to your uncle? Assuming he goes elsewhere, he still got some guys on campus here that may not have set foot here without his presence. I believe we get some of those guys.

I think he loves what Nebraska offers, but we are too far back in terms of development for him to pull the trigger here. If we were coming off back to back 8 win seasons, this could be a different story.

But I absolutely do not believe in any way, shape or form that he played us. He has too much love and respect for Nebraska to do that. Way too much.

Just for fun, how did you feel way back when Scott frost went to Stanford? When he transferred to NU? When he won a natty?

This is just childish whining when not getting what you want RIGHT NOW…First off, they don’t owe Nebraska a damn thing. It’s not even over, my god, grow up dude. I would still put money on him coming to NU.

“It was a matter of Nebraska getting the right people in that building and they have the right people there now”

I think he’s probably torn right now. Personally IF I were him and didn’t grow up in Nebraska, I would probably go elsewhere if I thought that was my best option to get to the NFL.

I’m not sure that we will. If he goes to anyplace but Nebraska nothing will convince you otherwise. You are convinced he played us. I think he respects Nebraska too much to play us. You won’t convince me otherwise either. We will agree to disagree.

I agree. And honestly, to me, the longer DR waits the better it is for us.

That'll give Rhule & Co a chance to get some wins under theor belts and show we can win and win now without crazy high talent.

Even if he commits elsewhere, he may eventually end up transferring if he gets stuck behind some stud at GA or USC. Burrow 2.0.

The thing I think about is who he probably idolized more than anyone growing up? Probably his dad's quarterback, Matt Stafford. Where did Matt Stafford go to college? UGA. His dad may have played here, but his idol played at Georgia. If anything that probably has just as much pull as NU does with his family. Couple that with UGA being back to back champs and having NFL players all over the field. I think it's a done deal. I commend Rhule for bringing this recruitment back from the dead but we aren't in the position to get him with the state of the program. I'll be a very happy fan if he's N. But I'd be shocked if he doesnt commit to UGA in June.

I’m on board for this mentality! Either with us or against us!!!
