I don’t care anymore where he goes. Many a 5 star high school QB has turned into a bust, and many a unheralded 3 star has emerged to lead their team to championships. I will be thrilled if he commits here but I ain’t holding my breath. In the meantime my focus is on how Rhule builds a foundation this year for a winning culture, and how well he recruits across the board. And if he does really well at that this year then we will be able to recruit an excellent QB for 24 even if his name isn’t Raiola.
Let's hope this staff can develop players.

I would love to have Raiola. But, honestly, if you were 18 years old and the #1 player in the country, why would you come to a program that hasn't been to a bowl in 7 years and the biggest accomplishment is stealing the Hogeyes' Hy-Vee trophy?

It's time for progress Some real o
success on the field will get them in the conversation. And a sweet NIL warchest don't hurt.

I care more about building a great offensive and defensive line again. Once you have that the quarterbacks will come. Hope he comes to Lincoln but my focus is on the rebuild happening with the ingredients we have. I can't worry about what we dont have or might have.
This. We need to worry about building for now and stringing some good wins together this year, and the rest should follow.

I expect him to decide before his high school fall camp starts at the latest.
My best guess at this moment is that he officially commits to Georgia on his official visit there presently scheduled for June. Obviously things could still change but if I were forced to place a bet right now that would be it.

What exactly is he doing? He has been very positive and respectful about every visit he has taken and never said a negative word about either of his supposed finalist. I think his decision has been made, and the coaches know where it is. If Riley didn't think he was out of it would have made the comment about USC not being the place for him. Ironically soon as OU announced they were moving to the SEC he heads to USC because he didn't want to compete, and then USC to the BIG10. NU started making contact with another QB, both hints that they know something. UGA has a QB battle going on now, both want to play. The loser of that battle is likely to transfer. One is a former 5* who sat behind a 2* and watched him win 2 NC. So much for the rankings
Then he needs to announce he is going to Georgia and get it over with , the kid played Nebraska big time he knew he was going to Georgia the minute Decomitted from OSU

Truth hurts!
What truth? Certainly not what you posted. If he goes to Georgia, so be it. But he didn’t play Nebraska. He opened the eyes of a lot of recruits to the huskers who weren't considering coming to visit, but they came and loved it.

Take your sour grapes elsewhere.

Wow. I think that is harsh. You do not even know the kid. And all he is doing is making the mature decision to think about his future very carefully. How many times do we see these young guys commit on the spot out of the emotion of the moment, only to drop their commitment and commit elsewhere at the last second? I applaud Dylan for taking his time. I just do not think he will come here so I have moved on. But I wish him well and I hope he lights it up wherever he goes.
I also congratulate any athlete whom takes the time to feel out all their options. Find your best fit!

However, being consistently disingenuous and wishy-washy, ultimately reflects on his character.

It'd be nice if he came here. But imagine being Donovan and your nephew played you this hard.

Bring on the next QB.

How has he been disingenuous? He’s a 17 or 18 year kid making a big decision. Do some people genuinely believe he never considered Nebraska? That all he was doing was intentionally playing Nebraska just for the fun of it?

If you want to call him wishy washy, I guess you could make that argument, but who is surprised that a 17 year old kid that is being courted by the best universities in the nation is having trouble making a decision?

I’m guessing if he isn’t going to Nebraska, he told his uncle personally and didn’t play him as you suggest.

That's your opinion which you are certainly entitled to have, but no where have I read he is a lock to UGA. But with Riley's comment about not wanting to compete, like he does, and NU starting to follow other QBs it feels like he could be leaning to UGA. I think the coaches all know, he is taking his official first week in June alone with several other top targets and commits, if he is trending UGA like many think I believe that's when he announces. If he doesn't announce then he won't sign with UGA.

Who wins UGA's QB competition could effect it. One is in his 4th year, former 4 star, has not play any meaningful snaps, the 2nd is entering his 3rd year, only played 4-5 snaps and former 5*, the 3rd is entering his 2d year, was scout team QB, at one time was a 5* but dropped to a 4. At present he is number 2 all time in GA HS history in passing yards, trailing Trevor Lawrence.

Look, the best QB your team has ever had was a QB the fans did not want and the coaches did not want. It literally took dumb luck and injuries for your coach to play Bennett.

No HS kid is looking at the UGA coaching staff and saying "Maybe they can turn me into the next Bennett...oh wait, they never even gave him a scholarship, the coaches didn't want to play him and the fans freaked out when he had to start"

According to Tom Lemmings soundbite, Dylan has Nebraska very high on his list and Rhule was the first coach he mentioned..

I'm looking at his commitment to NU like "A Christmas Story". If I don't get my Red Ryder BB gun I will be disappointed but will be happy with all my other toys. If he is N. I will probably shoot my eye out with excitement!!😂

I really love how everyone says we are out of it.
I don’t think Dylan even knows. Where’s it say a QB has to commit before the end of his JR year or early summer? Kid was committed to tOSU and they lied to him. I’m sure he’s taking his time this second time around. This whole idea that a QB needs to commit early is to help the coach recruit. We used to see QBs commit way closer to signing day but we still see some commit late. Ewers was late. Stroud was late. If Dylan wants to wait until November, OK by me.

I don’t think we absolutely have to take a QB this class just to take one.

It doesn't really matter, if he goes to UGA he will likely be in the transfer portal in a year. In fact, he'll probably be in the portal in a year no matter where he goes, so it might be better not to sign him out of high school. Just get him from the portal after he has used his one-time transfer, then he can't transfer again.

Was thinking the same thing. If he goes to Georgia we will almost certainly see him in the portal in a year or two. What class is his brother? Could he end up competing against his brother for snaps here.

You clearly know nothing about what happened. JT Daniel's was undefeated as a starter. He won the starting job, was injured and couldn't win the job back. Bennett was a walk-on, he was 5'8" 160 coming out of hs, but he was on scholarship the last 3 years.

I don't know what DR is looking for, maybe it's the opportunity to win NC, UGA has the staff and talent to provide that opportunity. Maybe it's to be developed into the number 1 draft pick, UGA can also provide that, Matt Stafford is proof of that.

DR is, best staff in the country and let's se d you produce evidence it isn't. Rhule has been average in poor conferences, with barely a 50 % winning percentage. If not for family connections DR wouldn't have them in too 20. No shot at anything more tan bowl eligible, maybe in top half of big 10 but unlikely. NU has become a joke the last 10 years.

Matt Stafford was developed under this staff?

I would say you could claim Georgia can develop the number 1 draft pick if it was this current staff… going back a dozen years or so doesn’t give Georgia an edge with the current staff.

Clearly Georgia is positioned to do well with any top recruit in the nation. But I wouldn’t use Stafford as a number 1 pick as a reason for DR to commit to Georgia.
