Yeah, I think they sort of just rushed to give him the job when they tricked Jim into signing those retirement papers.
Did Jamie Dixon get along with Del Conte at TCU? If so, you'd think he would be the logical choice.
I think Del Conte hired Dixon, but they barely overlapped. Del Conte left the following year, so they were still in the honeymoon period.
Dixon seems determined to make TCU his last stop, though it would be hard to turn down all those burnt orange dollars if the Horns came calling.
Job security is worth a lot. 1.3 million in Nebraska is a nice check and no doubt they have a nice retirement package etc.
Terry might be doing a bit of a "sneaky" interview with PSU and Cal.
UT AD seems to have a really hard time with thinking he should be the next HC.
Wonder if that means Tang will actually talk to Del Conte this time and leave KSU...which means KSU will call Underwood (alum) again...

He would (this is not me saying it just stupid insiders and a few guys that really seem to know a lot and are connected to Illini Hoops), be on the short list but not #1.
But who knows with these things. Still lots of smoke that UT is doing all they can to get Coach Cal away from Kentucky and I could see him leaving, UK fans are sick of him. Which means Muss would probably go to UK which opens up Arkansas.

Lon seemed to have the right idea...leave each school after a few seasons so the fans will always remember you fondly.
I thought about including Cotton Fitzsimmons and Tex Winter as well, but that seemed like piling on.
When it comes to Lon, he might be the best X's and O's coach in game over the last 30+ years.

Nique Clifford is a good athlete and a decent player. Would step in and get minutes if he landed at NU. As I mentioned before, Quincy Allen is a buy-low candidate who was DC-area HS player of the year and has some serious talent. Might end up being a bust, but someone will give him a shot.
Hard pass on Lawson Lovering. Seven-footer who can defend okay, but can't make a FT or hit the rim from more than about 5 feet.

It's none of my business but when I read this I just imagined that you had the opportunity at a threesome with 2 hot Creighton cheerleaders and you made a deal between God and yourself that if you pulled it off you would forever root for Creighton basketball.

I just doubt we have the NIL $$ for basketball to land some of these guys. Our alumni base is tiny compared to some of the schools we’re recruiting against. It’s too bad that Buffet was bullied by athletes as a kid.
