Daniel Kaelin visiting USC this weekend

So, it's a big recruiting weekend for USC. Is Dylan attending? I didn't see that he was visiting USC this weekend but maybe I just missed it.USC’s big Jr Day event is this weekend and they are hoasting a couple QB’s including Kaelin. My guess is they get one on the hook and try to get DR to cancel his visit to us or they accept the commit.

He is not. But the TOS said he will be at another one of their recruiting weekends on April 8, before going to our Spring Game on April 22 and Oregon’s on April 29.
Obviously he's enjoying all the attention he gets and the recruiting process with all the trips. (Must be nice to have a rich Dad who can fly you any where you want to go.) I'm just shocked now that he actually committed to Ohio State last May when he likes to visit so many schools.

I mean your not wrong. Our 3 deep is portal kids. But you still want to recruit kids out of HS and develop them if you’re a good coach.
I’d hope that if we don’t get Dylan that the staff just decides not to grab a QB then. Last thing we need is another QB on scholarship that has no shot at seeing the field.

It wasn’t just then. The guy was a lazy *** his entire tenure. That’s what happens when a drunk listens to an inbred fanbase demanding he hire a child.
That sounds extreme, but it’s exactly what happened
I guess I would ask, was their evidence of his laziness before he was hired to Nebraska? Not saying there wasn’t, I just don’t remember any red flags prior to his hire.

There are a few reasons why Dylan will choose which school he decides on and each school has it's pros and cons.
It would be interesting to get everyone's pro's and con's, we've already heard some. I'll say there are three schools in the mix and I don't like to put percentages when it comes to which school has the lead.
USC Pros
1. A head coach who has a record of helping QB's get to the pro level
2. Support players who will help keep him healthy and productive
3. Things to do on off time and there's a lot to do in So.Cal.
4. Weather is a bit better than Az.
5. Alumni and it's inroads they provide beyond football
6. Girls, Girls, Girls and Beaches, Beaches, Beaches
USC Cons
1. Lousy crime ridden neighborhoods
2. Traffic both vehicle and human
3. Taxes, Taxes, Taxes and cost of living is crazy
4. No guarantee of starting from day one
Georgia Pros
1. Top talent that surrounds you on the field
2. Georgia and the SEC puts players into the league like no other conference
3. You will always be in the mix for a conference and national championship
4. Loyal fanbase
Georgia Cons
1. Things to do, not much as far as I can tell
2. No guarantee of starting day one, but it's better than SC
3. No offense, but it's a very big deal when living in the South and adjusting to it's people, just listen to Paul Finebaum's call in show sometime.
Nebraska Pros
1. You will almost be guaranteed starting day one.
2. The best fan base in college, bar none, great people for the most part
3. Great proven coaching
4. Your Dad was an All American at Nebraska
5. Your uncle is the OL coach
6. NIL is pretty good
7. You are pretty safe in Lincoln and living conditions are pretty good
Nebraska Cons
1. Support players around you aren't top shelf
2. Weather is not always great, cold, windy (Not great for a QB)
3. Land locked in the middle of the country, no beaches, no mountains
4. The biggest concern is what will Nebraska turn out to be, it's still a mystery and a gamble for Dylan
Sorry for the long post but these are my thoughts on each school, I'm sure I've left some out. I'm sure Dylan has his priorities when it comes to what he wants and I'm pretty sure nobody on this site know what they really are and that's what it really comes down to.
Dylan is not a machine you roll out on Saturday's, he's a young kid who wants to enjoy his college experience however long that is and I'm sure this plays just as big a role in his decision making as anything.

Noah Vedral said it best when he said that he went to the beach exactly one time in his year at UCF. Dedicated college players don't have time to spend a ton of time at the beach.
Yes, the weather is nice in So Cal but I've already explained that Dad and Uncle went from Hawaii to Nebraska and Wisconsin. It's a family that thinks beyond weather. Look at his dad, spent his entire time after high school in Lincoln and Detroit. Than he retired at 36 a multi-millionaire and gets to live wherever he wants. I doubt weather plays much if any of a role in his decision.
As I posted I listed several points about pros and cons not just one which is weather. Of course weather isn't the only factor, there are many factors in play for Dylan. My biggest take away is nobody but Dylan and maybe his parents know what is most important to Dylan.
Dylan is a young man who happens to be very good at football but he's also a kid who wants more out of life as did most of us when we were teenagers. As I said you don't wind up Dylan and run him out onto the field each Saturday it goes way beyond just football. In the end it's his decision and what he wants most.
I think he likes what he sees from Nebraska and knows he can step in and be the man from day one. But I also think he wants to see what the Huskers look like under Rhule. Will we get off to a good start and look like a team that is to be contended with, or is it a comedy of errors like the last 8 years? In Rhule we trust.
If he waits long enough to see how Rhule does than NU might be the team by default. I'm not sure UGA and USC are waiting until September or October to take a commit from their class qb. I'm sure they would still take him but he might be the 2nd qb in the class.
As an SC fan I can tell you that Nebraska is the team to beat for Dylan. I think SC is 3rd. He can go to Nebraska and start day one. He is not going to sit at SC for 2 of the 3 years before he can turn pro. These kids want to go and compete for the starting job day one or at least be the starter for the next 2 years after sitting and learning for their freshman year. The kid will be a legit top 10 NFL draft pick if he stays healthy.

Laughed when I read Nebraska #2 about the weather. Playing football in Nebraska, you have maybe one, maybe two games that are cold and windy.
If you are a big time player, your not worried about weather anyway.

I promise you Dylan Raiola is a Top priority for this Staff and Nebraska. We and everyone who is a N fan should feel the same way. NEBRASKA wants Dylan Raiola!!
I can't believe all the weather post lol. For one, winter is nothing anymore in Lincoln compared to the 70s, 80s.
