We are clearly #1 of all time no matter the criteria
Then I would go with Alabama, USC and Oklahoma.
Maybe Ohio State after that
Michigan too high
Wisconsin and Iowa shouldn’t be on this list.

Like it or not Nebraska is still a blue blood All time top 10 program. Even with the last 20 years of mediocrity. Our track record from 70 to 2001 still stands strong. Suck on that haters!! Time to start winning again!!

I’ll do a little research on Ioway… but besides 1957-60, and some Fry years, Ferentz only been in the top 10 about 5 times and hand full on top 25 finishes but they haven’t been ranked every year since Pelini left our program..

So, you're saying Iowa doesn't deserve to lick the dirt off our blue blood boots?😂

Ioway has been rated 26 times since 1936 the first was in 1939… And have only been ranked in the top 10 13 times..

So the other 86 years they’ve been unranked.

It would have been fun to see how this would have worked out if these teams had been able to play each other exclusively over all of that time.

Before the 1970s, the SEC really wasn't that strong because of their segregationist policies. Alabama was able to take advantage of that.

Greatest based on the AP poll finishes only...fine. But that doesnt mean 'greatest'. Need to factor in National Championships, Conference Championships, and bowl games maybe.

Alabama wound #1, one way or the other..

Oklahoma and Ohio St could have a good have a discussion about who’s #2..

Ohio St claiming 1961 & 1970 national titles when Alabama and Nebraska won them those years.. I’m sure Oklahoma had more 10 win seasons than anyone in the country..
